I'm with you Beljak. I would actually dismiss any chance he has of winning the league medal if he didn't get so well looked after by the umpires.

dusties had one on monday, one of the la rosa brothers, not sure what his name is but it wasnt the one who did well in the league medal, dislocated his shoulder.

This not going to happen and he is staying with the Blues. Catani will have a pretty good side again this year and have a few good signings to replace the guys that left. Good source can confirm this.

As long as Urie is playing, I don't think so.
Lincoln Withers > Chris Urie.
Maybe 5 years ago, withers would have to be 35 at least. If he plays at cora lynn i dont think he will win league medal with all the other players in there side.
Urie dominates in a fairly average side and will again this year so would be tough to beat.
Withers would be mid 30's but keeps very fit, plays in NT in summer, 2008 he was joint league medal wnner in the Goulburn Valley league and missed 4 games and that league is fair bit above Ellinbank, only a fool would disagree.

He's actually 37. Will still be very good in EDFL though. Will still get plenty of votes because umps know who he is.
Pinnacle is right however 2008 will be two seasons ago and eventually playing all year round will catch up very quickly. Also hasnt really been playing that well up in Darwin this year.
yeah i have no doubt its a better league but he is 2 years older and apparently had a few injuries lately. Ellinbank is an improving league and there are still some bloody good players and plenty in cora lynns team who will take votes off him.

Speaking of Lincoln and Garfield, i wonder how the reception will be when Lincoln plays against Garfield concidering a couple of seasons ago he walked out on them after being appointed assistant coach to take up a better offer from Balranald($1500 a game) and understandingly so Garfield were'nt too happy.
