Go to baggygreen.com What a croc! Why don't the rest of the world have a profesional fielder the whole time. Don't get me wrong england being competitive is good for cricket, but when they adopt these tactics, which clearly are not in the spirit or in line with the tradition of the game of game as outlined by the criteria how can they recieve this award.

Yep... I saw and thought the same thing.

England have said themselves they're taking a tougher stance and don't care about the so-called "spirit" of the game.

Load of BS that award.

Stupid award anyway- they did not show alot of 'spirit of cricket' during the Ashes, in terms of sportsmanship

even if they say it didnt count, the ashes would of been the reason they won it.

No, they won it because in the 12 months of voting, the captains and match referees around the world voted England played within the rules and the spirit of cricket the best

Its not like there are sides jumping up and down to win it, Australia will never win it, ditto India. The Kiwis won it last year which is a slight suprise

Keep telling yourself that :D

I actually believe it should be an outstanding individual act of sportsmanship rather than a team. I actuall believe Flintoff's gesture at the end of the second test to go up to Lee and congratulate him on nearly winning the match was the best example of sportsmanship.

thats gotta b one of the worst posts ever made. straight after they beat us in the Ashes, in one of the teams worst tours in the modern era.
In the 13 games we played against the Poms on that tour (of every form of the game):
we won 4.
lost 5
2 draws
1 tie.
1 no result.
and we all know how close those draws were from bein lost.
As much as it hurts me to stay it, England as a team are better than us at the current time.
