Whats the deal with the contract speculation? Is it that he wants a longer deal?
The general consensus at the moment is they want to resolve VVD first.

I assume the thinking is if VVD walks they blow it up. If VVD stays they go again. Salah is unbelievable, but VVD is equally important - incredible leadership that Salah does not have.

Annoying to lose Ake and Akanji again last night. Defence this weekend will pretty much pick itself.

On the flip side, I thought Grealish was great in the middle. Can't recall him being tried there before, but definitely worth another try. With KDB he gave us that control of the midfield we've been lacking in recent weeks.

I heard an interview the other day on a pod where one of Grealish’s old teammates said Pep had wasted his entire peak by playing him out of position and that Grealish was always a central mid 🤷‍♂️

Damn when I'm not posting about Arteta every week I'm out managing pep (from 2023)
Grealish looked great last year, Doku looks like he has the potential to be even better. Looks so damn dynamic.
Wonder if he can work his pep magic and turn Grealish into a hard working 8. His best ability seems to be able to bring the ball from deep into the forward half with dribbling

I think he can do the same think Kulu does at spurs. Kulus actual end product is poor when he's on the wing and even worse when it's a low block kinda the same as Grealish, Grealish looks incredible when the games in front of him and space. He's a cheat code in if he picks up the ball edge of his own box it's either a foul or being carried all the way upfield.

Damn, I'd rather play Spurs after they won.

The spicy Derby with Anthony Taylor in change, what could go wrong haha.
Outside chance Romero is back as well

We are running on fumes. You will probably batter us

Interested to see if Ange persists with the high line. Feel like with Neto, Jackson and Noni that's begging for trouble.

Line actually hasn't been that high this season or lately especially. Only conceded 15 goals in 14 games.
What's more of an issue is wingers getting in behind the full backs and cutting it to the back post. Udogie and Porro are crap full backs defensively and that's where the goals are normally conceded.

Salah is a pretty great leader, he just leads differently. He leads by example. On the field and off it. The amount of times I've heard other Liverpool players say they look up to Mo for his work in the gym and his diet and looking after himself etc.

Then on the field he leads by just getting shit done.

Are you Ange out?

Be waiting a while for us to catch you though haha.
While I haven't watched a game live, I have seen some Optus mini matches and it certainly looks worse than last season.

Only being in 3 cup comps still will be saving him. Most are Ange out at this point, he's out of his depth and a bit shit.

I don't think Ange is shit, he's just philosophically confused. He's all out attack 100% of the time produces some great football but also produces losses which could've been avoided. He's carried that same philosophy since his playing days as a rampaging left back for South Melbourne and into his coaching career. He's in the most competitive league in the world and he needs to temper his gung ho all out attacking style at times. If he wants a long career in England he needs to realize it's not about him but about the team and fans who want wins not attractive losses.

I feel like Ange always knew the job was a poisoned chalice but could get his stock up if he played decent football and had them knocking on the door of the UCL places. Could still jag a trophy but history tells us Levy will sack him days before the final.

Where's next for Ange? No club bigger will likely go for him. Maybe a Newcastle sized club? West Ham etc.
I always thought he would be perfect both in style and philosophy for BHA, but Newcastle currently have a list that can play Angeball too.

Spurs fans booing Ange because Spurs lost to a Bournemouth team at Bournemouth who have only lost at home to Chelsea (2nd) and BHA (5th) both by a goal, while beating Arsenal (3rd) and Man City (4th) there is wild.
And some of their losses and draws have been really unlucky.
The only game they have been battered in was away to Pool, and its not like they are the only team that will happen to this season.
