Interesting that the tribunal has, supposedly, told Essendon an outcome would be brought down mid to late March.

First time I recall an outcome timeline attributed to the tribunal rather than speculation or hope.
I've heard it is going to be on the 18th March.

How nice that Essendon and the AFL have repaired their relationship with "the AFL being flexible around some of the rules and things".

I don't think they will ever be able to get rid of Hird. I have visions of him standing in a sort of apocalyptic wasteland - presumably in a good place. Since he's there and all, I hope the demands of the job aren't too much without his twice weekly injections.

I have visions of him receiving a SCN

I think you will find, if the tribunal decision is guilty, he will get a SCN within weeks
Good - he's got to run out of wriggle room sooner or later. I would have thought more evidence may froth over - if I were a player suspended for a length of time I think I would stop crapping on about standing by Hirdy and become a bit more forthcoming about what happened.

Don't stress. ASADA & Worksafe haven't finished with him yet

I think his already expecting a SCN, but others may be influencing to hold off on the SCN till tribunal is resolved

Or as I said the other day give the players the choice if they found guilty.

Accept a 12 month penalty or admit (accept) were given TB4, show remorse, blame Hird and give substantial assistance in prosecuting him and we (ASADA) will agree to a reduction in your penalty.

Its nice that substantial assistance clause is written in such a way it can be applied any time up to the finalisation of an appeal (even later with WADA approval) so that if an athlete is found guilty they can then decide yes they at fault and start dobbing others in for a reduction in penalty.

No - and that must be making at least one other person nervous. I've never been able to completely understand why the club hasn't distanced itself from Hird unless he has threatened someone that if he goes down, he takes down others.

Yeah, but if they start to prosecute Hird, their input will not be relevant. By the time it gets to CAS, they might of already banned Hird
