As a sign of good faith Adelaide offered up additional picks, Essendon was punished far more heavily.

When comparing the two issues and the punishments handed out Essendon got off very, very lightly and the penalties to the individuals involved are a joke compared to what Trigg and Connolly got.

This is part of the reason that if players are served infraction notices and suspended I want to see Hird run out of the game for good, Essendon to be banned from the first 3 rounds of the next 2 drafts and heavier financial penalties against the others also involved.

I'm discussing charges that have already been laid and what the penalties were for.... not what HTB wants them to be.

People need to keep this in mind. Whereas some of her opinions at times are a little left field, her information channels are usually on the mark. She would know more about what is going on behind the scenes than anyone here in Big Footy, and maybe most other journalists.

It is ironic during the week a story breaking overseas about how the rest of the world views Austraia when it comes to drugs, and also we are, per capita, the biggest user of so-called "recreation" drugs in the world. Not surprising.

I don't think she needs an AFL edict now, she has her own agenda consistent with last yrs agenda. I don't think it's the AFLs agenda anymore to punish the club. The AFL would be wishing it all ended with their sanction.

Absolutely. She knows where her next meal is coming from. In this instance though I think she is singing from her own sheet music after the bomberz shameless denial that cancer could be an issue for their players in the future as I'm not too sure the AFL want 'cancer' plastered all over the media. Not a good look. They didn't control to exposure of the Harcourt comments and undoubtedly would have done something about it if they know before hand that this info was out there.

The bomberz have built their barricades and are lobbing their PR war grenades from those clear lines of defence to the point of ignoring logic and decency. Caro in this article is simply pointing this out.
