hold off on Mikel or Pienaar for now...

I've had Rodwell and Cahill last two seasons so will go with young Jack again and possibly Fellaini or Bilyaletdinov instead of Cahill..

Stoked with the travelling squad, will be good to
a) see the first team lads
b) see the young kids that we don't see too much out off, as well as new signings (Mustafi, Jutkiewicz, Coleman, Gueye, Beckford, Silva, Baxter, Vaughan)

I wat to get a Mikel one before its too late! Hopefully he never leaves but an Arteta one will be one to cherish

I just bought a 09/10 home kit and a 09/10 away kit shipped here for $37 off the Toffees website. I know its last years kit but I really liked it and thats just too good of a bargain to pass up.

Shit mate, don't tell me that! I'm trying to save for splendour!! Anyone know anything regarding telecasting for the game against Sydney?

i was under the impression they were all being shown on Fox Sports, I'm sure I read that somewhere... I hope so anyway...

Lets just pray this year we have a better pre-season than last when we were held and beaten by teams way below us, which really set the tone for the first few weeks of the season..

Gosling walks out for nought

Ouch. Pretty big balls up if that's the case.

My brother just rang me to tell me this and i'm in disbelief. I thought it was a wind up but had to go online to check.

Everton can't complain at all if they failed to satisfy the rules and this is all the due to the clubs incompetence.

I would like us to take propper legal advice on what we can do mind.

Bill Kenwright has to be the epitome of incompetence.

He's now ****ed up two ground moves, ****ed up the NTL deal, ****ed up Fortress Sports Fund, ****ed up the transfer of Manuel Fernandes and now he's ****ed up what should be a straight forward contract renewell.

This latest **** up takes the biscuit IMO.

This act from Gosling goes to the top of the list for **** acts by a footballer and that's a mighty achievement.

According to the local paper he had agreed verbally to a new contract and then used a technicality to make himself a free agent, dragging the club through a tribunal in the process. His reason? Moyes couldn't guarantee him a starting CM position.

Not only has Everton lost out (our own fault mind) but the money from a sell on fee could keep Plymouth out of administration and this **** and his agent couldn't care less.

From the clubs perspective we need to seek strong legal advice. Last time I checked a verbal acceptance meant that a contract was in effect (assuming other contract elements have been satisfied obviously).

agree with Minkus, no way a professional club should let this happen.. even if Gosling was a **** and jerked the issue and what not, BK should have had a a piece of paper in this 'meeting' where they made a 'gentleman's agreement' and made the ****er sign it.

Even if he wanted to go, its $4m we all know we could have used in the transfer market. Big balls up by management...

Agree with the views of others. Poor stuff from the club. But how is the nerve of Gosling. Lets be honest, at this stage he is a middle of the mill bench player for us and his demands including wages was well over the top.

So who's at the Everton v Sydney match on Saturday? If so, who's sitting in the Everton fans end? I'm paranoid about them making sure i'm an Everton supporters club member, but thats just my paranoia.

Also - whats the rules on entry into the ground with backpacks - no sharp objects/standard stuff? Can I take a water bottle in?

I'm quite nervous about the trip and using the transport, so different compared to little old Adelaide.

I will be there, but not in the Everton end unfortunately.

I'm not sure about rules regarding entry, but the lads on this forum seem pretty sound so you may want to ask on there.

Gosling can get ****ed as far as I'm concerned. Compared to Coleman and Rodwell he offers SFA anyway. Leaving David Moyes will be the worst thing he has ever done to his career imo.

P.S Johnny Heitinga surely has to be the biggest bargain of the entire 09/10 season.

I couldn't agree more on both points! If someone doesn't want to stay at goodison then they can piss off, we're a team on the rise with a manager that plays youth. Gosling's career will go nowhere now I reckon, I'd much prefer someone who wants to stay at the club.

As for Johnny, how much did we pay for him? Was it a free? Now in a WC final, great pick up!

with a hairstyle like that (1950's part) we should have seen it coming. the guy is obviously dazed.

another ridiculous blunder under the kenwright administration. how people still defend him is laughable.

How was the game last night guys? I heard we played that new lad we just signed and Anichibe's goal looked pretty classy.

It was a good atmosphere and good to see loads of Blues make the trip.

We controlled possesion for the most part, but Sydney created some good chances but hit them straight at the keeper.

Vic's goal was well taken - Baines crossed the ball in low from the left, Vic trapped it, turned his maker and smashed it into the roof of the net.

Gueye, Vic and Osman were most impressive IMO.

Yeah, was great. Apart from everyone around me wanting to chat about anything else but the football, and people in front running for a beer everytime they ran out. Theres a football match on people, sit down and ****ing watch it.

Arteta did a few good things, but you could see the rust in everyone apart from Anichebe and Gueye. etc
