Well I woke up this morning hoping to have it confirmed we have made a couple of signings and got things moving but still sweet FA.

It's really frustrating that it looks as if we won't have anything sown up before Monday night, but I still think we'll get Mirallas. Although I do have that little feeling we're being used as a bargaining chip with Arsenal. Although he did strongly suggest that he wanted game time and to play with Fellaini, so who knows.

I just wish we could buy players as quickly as well sell them. Rodders was gone in a flash, but it takes a week for us to tie anyone up!

It's on boys!!!!!!!!! Mirallas will be holding up an Everton kit over the weekend, and will no doubt make his half time appearance to the roars of Goodison on Monday night!

He is exactly the sort of player we've needed for so ****ing long. This is a serious signing!

Sky Sports News, and pretty much every pommy news outlet, reporting that the fee has been agreed and there will be a medical in the next 48 hours. I'll feel a lot more secure when the OS reports something, but it looks like this one is all done.

Obligatory YouTube video of the lad:

The best thing out of all of this is we now have world class wingers on either side, and will no longer be so horribly reliant on the left. With Pienaar and Baines doing their thing on the left, Mirallas doing his on the right, Jelavic leading the line and Naismith poaching underneath, anything is possible this season.

Would suck to be a Liverpool supporter ;)

On an even brighter note, looks like Big Kev is having a medical today. Should be paraded in front of the faithful on Monday :D

Big if, but a good run on injuries and we should be aiming to get back into Europe. City, United & Chelsea so strong...but changes at Arsenal, Tottenham & Liverpool present opportunity this year to spoil the party.

Bring on MNF.

I'm not going to laugh at Liverpool until after our game...

And Mirallas has been photographed in Liverpool, so hopefully they can wrap it all up today!

Haha exactly right, but it did put a nice little smile on my face yesterday.

Think Moyes will play four a dour draw to start the season.

Thoughts on a best starting XI this year?

Howard
Hibbo - Distin - Jags - Baines
Fellani - Heitinga
Mirallas - Naismith - Pienaar
Jelavic

A couple of positions up for grabs. Neville/Hibbo and maybe Coleman all going for that RB position. Thought Hibbo was good enough there last year to get first crack.

Heitinga/Jags/Distin looms interesting with three having to fit into two. Heitinga could move to the right or we could use him as a DM.

I have never seen as much creative flair in a Toffee jumper than Mirallas, Pienaar and Naismith.

I believe in Mirallas! Where you from?! You sexy thing!

So happy, he's going to set Goodison alight.
Brilliant. Also word we have put in an official loan offer for Johnson. If you believe what has been said in the media we should be a fair chance to get him too.

I've heard that Sunderland are going to throw some cash at City for a full transfer, so that may not go ahead. Not even fussed though, we got this lad now.

I reckon we'll sign Niang next week, and then Moysie will scrounge up a loan deal and we'll be set. If we don't lose any more players, which bar Barkley on loan I really don't think we will, then this will be our beat summer in eons.

Great to have this deal tied up and hopefully 1 or 2 more to come.
As for our best lineup we have to play Heitinga at CB and I would probably prefer to play Neville at RB over Hibbert. I expect Moyes to lineup fairly conservative against Man U and Osman to start but hopefully he is weeded out when we start fielding a more expansive lineup.
