The club was broken long before he took over.
Ancelotti and the James, Allan & Doucoure signings were the last ditch efforts to turn things around and even that fell flat on our face.

Koeman, Silva, Fat Sam and wasted money in transfers. What a wild ride it's been and most of it has been awful. Coming up to almost 10 years since our 5th place finish under Martinez in 13/14.

The waiter isn't helping but he basically joined the titanic and we are sinking quicker now more than ever. Hard to hold out hope that things will turn around to how they used to be, I think that ship has sailed and the reality is we are now a middle of the pack team that no longer even competes for Top 7 lmao.

Keane is an absolute donkey, played a part in both goals.

This will probably be Rafa’s final game in charge.

Can only hope, but apparently another sacking payout will hurt us with FFP rules again.

If we go down I’m done with the sport, call me not a real fan or whatever, but 25 years of pain would be enough

I wanted out after the Silva debacle and then Carlo brought me back from the brink.

I think I'm just numb to it at this point. Definitely my interest in football has dwindled though. Lions resurgence and Bucks winning the NBA have taken most of my attention in recent years away fortunately.

He’s sacked, apparently?

Not a surprise if true. But let’s be honest, he’s a symptom, not the disease. I think we should take our FFP situation as a blessing and not a curse and just focus on becoming a bit of a Moyes moneyball side again. We had a sense of identity then, something fans could connect to and be proud of.

We have nothing now. Absolutely nothing.

Well thank god we actually sacked him but it's far too late. The damage that has been done is literally unrepairable (Losing Digne, signing Rondon etc).

Good luck to whoever takes over, at this point I really don't care anymore. What's that going to be now, 6 managers in 7 seasons?

I had marginal hope tonight, marginal. Only because of the "interim manager bounce" effect that occured last time. Alas, we came out with a whimper in the first half and then missed opportunities in the second.

Our squad is rubbish, our board is rubbish, our managers have been rubbish. Everything about Everton is rubbish. Fully deserve to go down and I fully expect us to.

I won't be watching Everton anymore if Vitor Pereira is appointed. Don't care if we stay up or go down but this kind of decision making is generally making me sick of this club.

Reports suggesting it's gonna be Frank. I can get behind him far more than Vitor.

If we appoint Pereira, we may as well have kept Rafa. It will be just as toxic, if not worse.

All signs now pointing to fat Frank though

Franky officially manager! Happy with that.

Sounds like Dele Alli is about to sign as well, with van de Beek on loan also. Big day!

Linked with Jovic, but striker not really a priority as big as a DM is. If we can grab a DM on loan from somewhere in Europe, this could be a massive day
