Gold Edition??
They walked & once again it didnt run a strong 1400m.
Doesnt lead,doesnt win

Richie talking thru his pocket....again

Hahaha how funny was that! They left the post race stuff on the PA at Caulfield, people were just rolling eyes and cracking up with Richie's carry on. He went for about two or three minutes calling for enquiries and all sorts of nonsense!!

How was Channel 9's return to racing? (if anyone watched it)

I understand that many journos race "analysis" is driven by the punt but honestly, this was childlike.
No sooner had they crossed the line & he was baying for a stewards enquiry.

GE cantered up to Mutawaajid & when he let it down it was still gunna win.
Didnt do much wrong on it IMO.Its record at 1400m was 1 win from 3 starts & that win was in a race restricted to horses sold out of the MM sale.
This was a very strong race & they obviously decided it needed a sit.

As for Channel 9,I was swapping between the 3 options. They had S O'D hosting & Greg Hall in the J Lett's role after the race.Tony Jones was doing the interviews & Ollie was co hosting with SOD which helped.Usual fluff pieces with some swimmer talking to "celebs".

Sky had their usual joke coverage, going to Kembla just before the Diamond & showing nil behind the barriers.I know thats what they do but it was a GP 1.Even TVN were waiting for Jones to finish before doing their after race interviews.

Sounds like Graeme McNeice.

I agree Seth, I hardly watch Sky anymore, can't stand the cutting away from major races for crap at Kembla or twilight dog races in Northern NSW.

That's the type of service they deliberately provide. TVN is for those who want the pre-race mounting yard, post race return to scale and also interviews with jockey, trainer, owner etc. Sky is for those who want to see races at other venues aside from just Melbourne,Sydney or Brisbane.
Personally, I think it's great. You get the best of both worlds. :thumbsu:

I agree but it becomes a problem unless every race runs on time.
We all know it never happens. And who decides who gets preference?

As a harness punter,it's a nightmare. The other night they went to a maiden at ????? during a Gp race.
Then,to make it worse they flashed the result up before showing the reply.

I haven't watched more than 3 minutes of Sky in god knows how long. TVN is the best, most up to date info, jockey and trainer interviews and info on whats going on at the track.

Sky jumps from race to race and you get no info at all.
