Clubs normally know months out if a sponsor will continue beyond its current contract. 2019 was oaks last year and the club would have asked the question at the start of this year if they would be keen to extend.as these things are locked in months in advance.
Similar when renault left at the end of 2017 the club knew well beforehand. They then hunted around in 2017 for a new one it wasnt easy but found one they were talking with.if you remember when we lost renault Kt said they would look at stiching one up in the next 2 months. Then for reasons i am not sure about it fell thru just before the dotted line got signed. This time kt hasnt used those words as i think he learnt from last time but like 2017 you will find they are negotiating to replace oak with someone hopefully lightning doesnt strike twice.

Doesn't help when our emblem is a lightning bolt !!!!
