Fall and Fall of Big Bash

I went to two days of the Test (Days 3 & 4) at the MCG and used PT to get there and back from Western Vic.

80% of fans in the non MCC section were of Indian 🇮🇳 descent and I can assure you they weren’t barracking for Australia. The Train on the way home emptied out at Tarneit.

Does something need to be done or looked at in relation to this? Seems to be a common complaint when we play india

Not at all - these folks are cricket nuts - looking thru the Dowling Shield results - lots of South East Asian kids playing and performing well.

Can’t beat the Mark Waugh popped collar

The Saints bringing back the old school collars for our 150th game was pretty good.

Only became an official thing announced by CA since BBL|09.

What happened to the deal with 2-year contracts, so we could ensure internationals would stay here for the whole season?

Who were those players, and where the **** are they now?

This is a pretty embarrassing standard of names for our finals series.

The team sheets tonight were grim. I actually turned it off cause I couldn’t care less about half the players.

The only one I know of is Finn Allen.
And he was disappointing.

Unless the tournament is shortened by a few weeks, you won't get many players committing.

Yeah I agree. Crowds are up, and while the standard isn’t always the greatest there’s been a ton of really close, fun games. Was also good to get a season that went down to the wire in the way that it did.

Both finalists have one of those players...

Billings is the only player off the top of my head that I think meets the standard we were hoping for.

Chris Jordan took two wickets in a winning T20WC team, but okay...

We citing one off performances to try and prove a point?

We could literally do that for days.

Ok then. Chris Jordan is the 8th highest wicket-taker in T20 history, and is England's 2nd highest wicket-taker in T20Is. The man is absolute quality, one of the best T20 cricketers of all time.

That you seek to diminish that instead of just taking the L and moving on says more about you than it says about Chris Jordan.

Chris Jordan was always 1 of the best death bowlers in the comp.

I found last year he last his mojo a bit. I haven’t checked the stats so this might be wrong but that’s my gut feel.

He’s definitely been back to his best this season and is a vital cog in the hurricanes machine.

Ellis and Jordan is such a good death overs combo.
