To put it simply, he shits himself less.

I agree with you that the saints gameplan maximizes his strengths. A lot.
He also looks like he has slowed down a bit.

I should also clarify, I would be looking at him for depth, not a straight spot in the team. I would want him to work hard for a spot, and if he did, he would deserve it.

Anyway, wouldn't be disappointed if we didn't get him.

Fair enough. I'm not entirely convinced we need him for depth. I think it'd be a bit of a sideways move (pun intended) with Reid and Addison still on our list with I guess the only positive being that Faz is medium paced rather than fairly slow. But if the coaching staff feel we need a player like him far be it from me to disagree.

Handy as depth and has attributes that we could use - pace primarily. Can't fault his commitment and seems to win some of the ball too. From what I've seen his decision making and disposal are still suspect but have improved. If we get him cheap, why not?

Currently a much better player than the Moles and Hoopers of the world who get games for us and would be a solid player in our top 18-25. Get it done Dogs!

Yeah, it's one of those ones that you wouldn't mind either way, imo. If he is picked up, it will be cheap, and he could be handy. If we don't get him, it's no big loss.

That's completely unfair.

4. Ray
5. McLean
6. Bradley
7. Tenace (How come nobody wants everyone at Geelong sacked for this?)
8. Raph Clarke
9. Trotter
10. Dunn

Farren Ray is pretty much the pick of the bunch in the rest of that top 10 AND that is even with the benefit of every Bulldogs(and AFL) fans best friend HINDSIGHT.

If anything, that's some pretty bloody shrewd recruiting. Not often a pick 4 edges out everyone behind him in the top 10.

My point being he's not pick 4 material.
That is without doubt the worst draft in living memory!

Our disposal was nearly the worst in the league in 2011 and you guys want to add a guy that can't kick to that list??? We need guys who can use the ball, not butcher it, come on, we want to improve not bottom out. The membership at our club is heavily dependent on our on field success, it is unfortunate but you all know this. If we finish bottom 6 for the next few years, our club is dead, no doubt. I personally think the club will go well with Macca at the helm has some good ideas!

I'm not a statistician but it seems on a 1 vs 1 basis, the vast majority of people are against getting Ray back.

That's a little dramatic considering that the AFL have upped their funding to the club such that we will receive an extra $7.5mil over the next 3 years.
