Reckon fat shaming goes both ways when we're talking Beasley or Amanda Vanstone fat. But women get judged for not being miranda Kerr. A little bit of fat for women is frequently used to knock women. A bit of pudge on a bloke is not remarkable. Women = their appearance compared to impossible beauty standard.
Footy players though... fair game right? Doubt most of them have too many ego problems!

Nah. That's crap. Unless by other women. More men prefer women with curves, then a model who looks malnourished. Obese is not considered attractive for either gender (in general). IMO, women can carry a small amount of fat and still be considered to most men attractive (due to the effect it has on the 'curves'), but fat on a bloke, just looks like a fat lazy bloke.

Definitely, he is carrying a little bit of dead weight, he is going to be a big boy though. He is 90kg and when he converts the rest of his puppy fat into muscle he is going to get heavier. He is still a 19 year old rookie, some kids come in skinny and take a while to get to the desired body shape, others come a bit heavier.

- women on average have higher fat/body weight ratio

That has little bearing on it - the clubs would provide nutritional advice. A person's body composition is made in the kitchen, not on the field/gym.
