I gave up the cigs many years ago but have to say when I was a smoker I loved it. This was a time when you could smoke anywhere - at your desk at work, even on planes. I still kept it up as one by one the places you could smoke diminished. I enjoyed all the paraphernalia that went with the habit - the fancy cigarette cases, a Zippo lighter etc. Smoked St Moritz when I went out (do they still make those?), More (long, brown skinny cigar looking things but they were cigs), went through a menthol patch for a while, tried all the well known makes and models but probably smoked Winfields on a regular basis. Used to love that first ciggy in bed in the morning.

Don't crave them anymore, but occasionally if I get ****ed enough I'll have one or two. Chest kills the next morning however.

Much as I enjoyed smoking, I hated slip stream smoke from someone sitting next to me. Really ****s me now I'm reformed. I'm glad I gave up but fully understand why someone continues on with the habit.

Good post Pugsta, gone are the days where you can smoke in the office, restaurants, planes etc. For those that don't smoke I can understand why the smell annoys them. In saying all of that - I am a smoker myself but not a heavy one. The brand I smoke is Winfield Red's.

my religion teacher used to smoke 100 cigarettes a day on weekends and holidays and 80 on school days. she was telling us much to our amusement how she would get up at 2:00 in the morning to have 4 darts and a coffee and then went back to sleep.

she now has the most massive cough and the whole class pisses themselves when she does it. serves her right, absouloutely ridiculus

Quitting smoking is easy. I've done it heaps of times!

I used to smoke heavily (B&H fines or Styvo lights) until i went through a big change of life and got extremely health conscious about 3 years ago and eventually took up a career for a while as a personal trainer/fitness adviser etc. Gave them up completely for a fair while, but then stupidly took them up again for a little while last year.

Now i dont touch them between Monday and Friday but stupidly i'm still really partial to a ciggy if get on the soup after work (different career now) on Fridays. Its like Lennon and McCartney for me - they just belong together. Feel like shit today though.

I'm rapt you cant smoke in pubs anymore because that means it'll make that pretty bloody hard to do now!

It's now been 4 months since i stopped smoking and every part of my body appreciates it.

Well as i said before loved Winfield blues, then switched to Kent (Charcoal), B&H, Holiday Slims (Don't ask me why) and now im smoking PJ blacks which are awesome

I smoke now and then these days. If someones around with a ciggie i might pinch one of them to partake in the conversation, but if it aint around i don't go out of my way to buy a packet.

And the new rule is a god send.

Port Royal-rum and wine..

Smoked it for years

I will go for small packet of Champion Ruby if Im bit broke, dont like it much tho

they dont have Port Royal in 30g packets for some reason...
