But for all the injuries... he was class and my favourite player at the time. Seems a trend that we Tingay fans migrated to the Ooze. Would be Jones now although he's not the thrilling player the other two were. Guess solid, hard-working and dependable is the new black when the club is a shambles.

Unfortunately Yze really dropped off in the last few years, and Tingay was cooked after his 'shower incident'. But my god they were good in their prime. I've got more respect for Jones than any Melbourne player I've ever seen but I do miss having players like that.

Every time I have a favourite player they leave. Allen Jakovich in 94. Jeff Farmer in 01, then Woewodin in 02, then Cale Morton last year ..(Though I Garry Lyon from 95-99)
