Next Sunday’s game against Richmond will be the first this season we will enter as favourites.
As everyone else I have been very impressed by Freo’s games so far. Work ethic, skills, goal kicking etc all have been so much better than the previous years. So much so that the cynical voice inside my head, saying ‘they are going to scr#w this up, they are going to drop the intensity etc’ is slowly being silenced.
Supporting Freo for a number of years has conditioned me not to get my hopes up to early because generally they would get shattered the following week. This year looks brighter, and after four consecutive games of good to excellent efforts, my hopes are rising.
I see the game against Richmond as a great test. Yes Richmond have been terrible, yes we should belt them by 50+ margin, and yes the supporters are pencilling in a win already.....
l just really hope the players aren’t and play with the same intensity as the previous 4 games. They have shown to cope with the underdog tag, can they cope with the favourites tag?
Let’s hope so and be positive and say YES!!

and here we are 3 and 1 and finally round 5 favorites.

I'm secretly hoping the boys can keep up the intensity and prove the media boffins wrong this year..........

I actually have a lot of confidence in Harvey and Bond and co keeping the boys firmly focussed on what needs to be done. I don't think any of the players will be taking much for granted either. Most of them have had too many disappointments to start getting cocky.

Wow I really hope we don't take this one lightly. Richmond have yet to win a game. I remember what we were like this time last year when we were 0-4. It's not impossible for Richmond to get up at Subi, they did it last year too. However, we should win this one. The ultimate win would be a belting but let's not go too far just yet.

Yeah I am thinking the same way. I am not exactly worried about this game, we should win and comfortably, but yeah, like everyone else I'm worried about the intensity. If we hadn't played so well all season, I'd be very worried because Richmond play well against us at Subi. Still, I've seen enough this year to think we will win this one comfortably enough.

I was at the Freo Richmond subi game last year and we lost.. major disapointment. I am confident that we will win this one and win well though, but you never know with teams like this!

whenever i have heard about "the process" it has been to do with engineering projects. the boys look like they are going about things systematically, and sticking to their "process". loving the results of the process so far. keep doing what you are doing dockers, it is a pleasure to watch!
