About to start playing.
Played one match so far. Defending is harder, rest of the game seems the same to me. I like PES more. Movements etc are v fluid though.

MY feelings exact. The defending is harder but I hope they are improving other areas of the game or else its just going to be 2011 with harder defending.
The ref paid advantage to the CPU when they should have had a penalty. First fault I've noticed.

On it already. Downloaded the demo, so much more fluency compared to Fifa. Looking forward to the updated demo coming out soon if I heard correctly

Agree on this front. They have spent too much time on it, there are/were more pressing issues to fix.

Tackling is much harder that's for sure. Presentation has improved. Other than that it's pretty similar to FIFA 11. Hopefully the overhauled Career Mode makes up for the lack of new features.
Personally I think the whole new Impact Engine was a waste of time. Much better things they could have worked on/improved instead of this (Pro Clubs for one).

I have given it a go. It's decent, but not a big change at all.
The impact engine as expected is a bit buggy and really doesn't add nearly as much to the game as was touted. It also brings some terrible fouls into the game that make zero sense. In one instance I was defending and cannoned into the attacker who rolled around from my hit and snagged the defender too...the attacker got a foul and yellow card for what was a completely incidental and accidental hit, he really did nothing but fall over.
Another instance of a **** up. RVP in the pen box, gets smashed from the side, defender CLEARLY doesn't hit the ball but only the man. RVP rolls to the side and defenders momentum from hitting RVP causes him to get snagged on RVP and RVP gets a foul called against him (advantage is called).
Defending is farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr worse. Way too many buttons, buttons that clash and systems that just don't make sense. I'm gathering that the 'other defender pressure' and sprint buttons were/are R1 and R2 for a reason as to not exploit the sprint and pressure, but it just doesn't feel right to hold the R1 button to bring in the other defender to pressure.
Not sure how I feel about the standing tackle button working everytime you push it. Not only does it really bring you out of a game, it can send you miles out of the play if you accidentally press it. But it does allow more freedom of the use of it and doesn't lock it into specific animations.
Passing however feels a lot better, far easier to nail passes in and around the box and hit targets when you want to.
And shooting is much flatter, doesn't balloon up from softer presses of the button. Seems to be more direction in the kick too.
Presentation is awesome too.
Yeah the presentation is good, I really like the scoreboard.

Shooting is much better, don't know what they've done to the passing though. You have to hold it down for too long.
Haha, i only started playing UT after the PSN debarcle.... no-one was using the market after that.
Thats a big reason I'll be getting 12 so I can play Ultimate team in its glory.
Getting the ultimate edition with Gold packs.

Are the finesse shots still ridiculously easily?
