I got this over the weekend on sale more for the next gen version as it was a free upgrade to the PS5 when it comes out. Does current gen FUT carry into next gen or is it a totally new game?
If it carries over whats the best way to start out? I'm NMS and not sure if there is a easy way to start out.

I just installed the ps4 version onto the ps5 and had no issues... once logged into EA sports, everything carried over
Edit: Ps5 version drops 4th Dec, from my understanding, FUT and Volta carry over but not career?!

It carries over.
Just play a bunch of games if you can. But aim not just to win but to complete objectives for packs and players. You can get some decent objective players free but you have to grind them.

Just hit Division 1 for the first time since fifa 14 I think, at least the first time since we moved to 10 divisions. Not sure it really means as much this year as I am still a gold 2/3 player in champs, but a nice little milestone (and coin injection) to hit.
I feel like I'm cheating when using this squad, 15 games for 15 wins with about 60 goals. I think I'll be able to get gold in WL now.

Ages ago on here I said I wanted to try Oblak.
Got him as a reward the other day so I built this around Kramaric.
Oblak is ****ing trash. Absolute trash. Lets in everything from outside the box. Absolutely everything.
I switch out Valverde for Fabinho (who in my opinion is the best CDM I've tried).
Lewandoski has been a let down also. Kramaric has been panels better.
Might play around with the modifier cards and a few player instructions to see if I can get it working.

Never had much luck with Lewandowski but his POTM SBC is too cheap not to do. Kramaric was really good value, I play him as a CAM.

I've used Kramaric to good effect at CAM too.
If I can't squeeze any juice out of Reus I think I'll flick him for Haaland and shift Kramaric into the CAM spot.

So I’m still learning the ropes in Ultimate Team with SBCs and Objectives and stuff but I’m pretty happy with the team I’ve built so far.
Just added Oyarzabal via an SBC and bought ter Stegen to give me an 86 rated squad. I consciously try to play a more passing oriented game and the veteran Suarez-Silva-Modric combo is really fun. To give you an idea of my playing level at the moment I’m in Div 6 with a Skill Rating of about 850.

Just played my first game on next gen and it is fantastic! Just a shame that a lot of the cool new features will be turned off by most players as it definitely would impact your performance. Would say that for career mode it is all fantastic though, really immersive stuff.
nvm got it, ps5 is just a piece of shit sometimes.

Apparently online isn't cross platform/console so it's worthwhile having both the PS4 and PS5 versions on your console for a few days until everybody has caught up.

The haptic feedback and triggers stuff is incredible. The single most immersive use of the controller so far (and there's been some damn good ones!) other than Astrobot.
Gameplay wise doesn't feel overly different, maybe a little heavier and defending feels better? But I'm also not sure on that yet from a couple of games.

Seems like it's f***ed for a chunk of users - an error coming up saying "you already own this item" when trying to download the PS5 version having owned the PS4 game.
