I don't think I've ever had a really bad neighbour.

Maybe that guy in Duncraig that warmed up his v8 for 10 minutes every morning at 4.30am sharp and had a dog that barked all day.

And then they had the gall to call the cops on me for a bit of loud music 8.30 on a Sunday night

Richmond’s rising star Sam Lalor has gone viral for many reasons this week.

One of those was due to his, ah, preference to go commando on the footy field.

Asked about the situation and a reported new Bonds deal, Lalor admitted he’d found it hilarious.

“It’s been pretty funny to be honest,’’ he told Dylan Buckley’s Footy and Friends podcast.

“I just took it in my stride, I couldn’t really care less, I think it’s funny as.

“They’ve (Bonds) sent me a big package and got my manager in contact with them so who knows.

Lalor acknowledged the mishap after the game, posting on Instagram: “What a night. Thanks @richmond_fc for the opportunity, keen for many more to come”, along with an eggplant emoji.

It didn’t take long for Lalor’s teammates to get in on the joke.Gun midfielder Tim Taranto tagged @bondaus in the comments, while Jacob Bauer commented: “Was impressive, good game too x.”

Bonds then came to the party, offering him “some extra support”.

“You probably heard about Sammy’s great Round 1 debut last Thursday and the not so great situation where his boys were not secure during his goal celebration,” Bonds said in an Instagram reel.

Meteorologist Lincoln Trainor said the rainy weather could pause for the start of the game.

“(Afternoon rainfall) might make it a little bit wet at the ‘G initially, but there’s gonna be a break,” he said.

Footy fans should still “have their ponchos and umbrellas at the ready”, Mr Trainor said, as a southerly change pushes through and brings a risk of evening storms as the game wraps up.

“As that change comes through, around 8.30pm we could start to see some showers increasing and some more storms from 9pm onwards as well,” Mr Trainor said.

What the hell? I didn't realise he went commando. Although I did wonder how it slipped out. That explains it.
