Now, fetch me the red glitter, and someone fix that crooked star on top—it’s giving counter-revolutionary energy."

In this alternate timeline, Stalin might have turned the New Year tree into an extravagant spectacle—a shining symbol of both state propaganda and impeccable taste. The gulags might still exist, but at least they'd have fabulous holiday decorations
