But there are obvious errors where you think what the * and I’ve got not other words to describe it as idiotic. Examples:
Lynch Sub fiasco
Playing Milera rd 1
McAdam out injured against Hawks on the fast deck of Etihad and replaced with Crouch. Like WTF it was a dumb selection and proved to be as was moving Crouch to the wing.
Hately on the wing, this has been discussed so I’m not going to rehash it.
Turning wings into contested positions.
Keeping Worrell in the SANFL whilst playing an injured Doedee who then needs post season surgery delaying his preseason. Also they had the opinion they couldn’t play Worrell and Doedee together, which in the end they did.
Dawson in defence against teams like West Coast and North.
Playing players you know that aren’t good enough and aren’t part of the future.
Some of these decisions have been picked up by nuffies on here as dumb and guess what, they were proven to be.
Nicks has galvanised the playing group and turnaround our culture, of that there is no doubt and he should be applauded for it. By the same token, when he makes idiotic decisions, I’m not going to just go “oh well”
Yeah, I think a lot of these were errors.
I just understood why a few of them were tried. I understand what made them risk Lynch. And Milera was a gamble, didn't pay off, got dropped. That's fine.
I don't think trying things that don't work is a bad trait - it's persisting with them that's bad.
If something isn't working, Nicks mostly will move on.
