3rd v 8th. Contrasting seasons for these two teams, with the Royboys always looking like a finals side, and Normanby ... not so much. There is still a double-chance in the offing for the Pizza Men, especially with the Junction having the Bye this round. Lose this match, though, and they could plummet as far as 5th.

The Burgundonians don't have a lot to play for, having snuck out of reach of the wooden spoon, but mathematically unable to make finals. They do, however, have the opportunity to clamber up one more rung, so that can be their goal for the day.

Some Royboys didn't have their mind on the job today. They need to have a good, hard look at themselves & I'll be hammering that point at training this week.

Don Chipp has made an emotional plea for forgiveness from his teammates. He has been so caught up with the goings on of the Federal election in recent weeks that his mind hasn't been on the job of playing football. He has promised to rectify that in the remainder of the season. This emotional outpouring was well received by his teammates & the coach. I think this may be the catalyst for a resurgence by the rampant Royboys.
