My late father forever blamed the supporters sitting next to him who opened a bottle of champagne 🍾 at half time,
that ended well…
The club spent a fortune on fireworks for the celebration in the lead up to the GF, or so the myth goes

Until monky kicked that goal…. Or was it Barwick….
Barwick. Put us 8 goals up without about 10 min left. Until then no one in the crowd where i was wanted to call it. After that goal everyone knew we couldnt lose and the feeling was incredible. There is nothing that will ever be able to match it. Footy or otherwise.

I've always been so superstitious watching Collingwood, thinking something I do actually has an impact on our fortunes, at 45 years old I'm finally realising that nothing I do has any impact on the pies fortunes, let's enjoy Collingwood for what we are, a very good side who have a great chance of winning the flag, i know there are about 4 teams that can win it but for what it's worth I think we will win it, we have 3 brilliant father sons at the moment, 4 if we want to include Tom Mitchell 😉 we need to and will take advantage of having these players and win the whole thing 👍

Best feeling. I still couldn’t believe we would win with a few minutes to go.

This is not like 2011 where we were far and above the opposition (my view, we were better than even Geelong that year, just not healthy by the end). We're in the mix but definitely not firm favourites at this stage.

We're rarely playing 4 quarters and still have a couple of key pillars to work out: McStay as key forward and Frampton as key back.

As we build, it's possible we get to a point of Premiership expectation, as we definitely did in 2011 and maybe late in 2010. I'd say probably not to that level. For sure to the level of possible, but expectation I feel is a little too far, our margin of error is still quite thin.
