Have an 4 gig stick to put DivXs on and watch on my DVD player (has a USB slot:thumbsu:)
Used to get 5x movies on at 700 odd each.
Now only get 3
I have deleted files on the USB nothing shows up when i go into my computer.
If you then go into propertys it has 2 gig of stuff in it
It shows up as folder on the TV but cant be opened by the DVD player either.
How do I get rid of it?
Is it normal?
Is it full of Russian Mafia Controlled Spambots that are trying to kill things and take over my universe so should be thrown in a fire?

that happens to my walkman as well.

I reformat it, and all is right with the world.

it would seem that some deletes delete the file from the index without deleting the data.

Is it normal to get 2 gig of hidden trash?

Just put an XVid on it, see it, delete and put another on, was all it is used for.
 
like i said above, it's deleted it from the index without freeing up the space by either flagging it as free or actually deleting the data from the memory.

that's where the 2Gigs are. i have to do my walkman every so often for that very reason.

Im not sure if it is ment to be normal but i also noticed on my brothers usb that when i had hidden files on that it had about 1gig of trash on it that i just deleted when i could see the files

Same as before but it wont let me format

On the USB
Properties
705MB Used
161 GB Free

It has a file on it that cant be removed or formatted
Properties
It tells me there is 2,03 TB on it and 1,024 files O folders on it Read only
Cant put in recycle
Cant compress and send as email deleting file
Cant play any DivX on the player which is worse:(

Any tips:confused:

What operating system are you running and what did it say when you tried to delete it?

also thats 1 massive usb @ 16gig, even better that it says 161gig
