Mrs.H.has some chinese friends who grow their own backyard veg. Not sure if this is a zucchini, pumpkiny, melony, cucumberry type of thing that they've given her. Suggestions ?

Flowers, a nice bottle of bubbly and a candle lit chicken dinner.

Tried the " broil " function. Temp & time ?
Air frier is good for chips. You can also do carrots and small pieces of potato and similar (I suggest to zap them first in the microwave). It is OK for crumbed chicken pieces or frozen fish from the supermarket. I'm not sure if I'd do meat in it though. Frozen samosas are OK. Don't bother with chicko rolls though as these need to be deep fried in fat. My opinion is that the AF works best with supermarket frozen stuff.

I did discover that you can do cheese on toast. A slice of cheese on a slice of bread cooked for 2 or 3 minutes (on flat out) comes out pretty well.

You could try small frozen pizza but I make my own dough and the depth of an AF makes it impossible to drop in a real home made pizza.

I'd stick with the wok, BBQ, pan, slow cooker, pressure cooker or regular oven for meat (yes, I know that there are other methods like sou vous, George Forman or the toaster on its side but I have so far avoided these).

If they are from SE Asia they would call it bottle gourd. Don't know the name in any Chinese language.
It's bland. Add to stew, curry etc for bulk.
It contains choline which everyone needs, especially North Melbourne supporters. Supposed to reduce stress.

OK... I planted some basil, coriander, lettuce and parsley into some tubs a couple of weeks ago. I mixed some Osmocote premium potting mix bags with a bag or two of Bunnings generic potting mix and I've watered with seasol so the seeds and seedlings are growing well.

I just noticed that I also have heaps of mushrooms popping up - they are currently very small (about fingernail size or smaller). Those taking shape appear to be some kind of oyster mushroom but I am concerned that they might be toadstools.

Can anyone here tell from these pictures?

No but they don't look like toadstools.

Be very careful with fungii tho. It can kill you painfully. But I've grown food with various mushrooms growing in the garden beds and its never been an issue. had gold tops pop up once from the coww shit. No one tripped off the food unfortunately and another time death caps were growing in the garden beds but they didn't make the food poisonous.
