What will you all do if Bird flu comes to Australia when the footy season starts???? You see the worst things is that they will have to stop it  !! So lets hope this never happens (and the god damn flu doesnt get here in the first place-but it probably bloody will and become a pandemic here :( )
But really, what would the AFL do if this happens???

I love football as much as anyone, but if bird flu hit and hits in a way that the experts suggest, the last thing on my mind will be worrying about football....

I would be far more inclinded to worry about my health and the health of my loved ones. i.e. Gaz & Nathan Ablett :D

Meh, bird flu is over-rated. STD is where it’s at.

How long has the bird flu been around? Years, Decades, Centuries?

How many have died since it was first detected? Very few compared with the hundreds and possibly thousands who die each year in this country from the effects of ordinary 'flu.

This is very hyped up and I wonder who are the big beneficiaries of it.

My recommendation would be to take your ordinary annual 'flu shot if you are at risk and not worry about this avian 'flu until it actually manifests itself.

Idiot. I certainly hope you don't get given some of the tamiflu from the Government when it hits us.

THe chances of Bird Flu becoming a human to human transmission pandemic are quite small. If it happens it happens. Tamiflu probably wouldn't be of much use anyway, they've already had a case of resistance and they've never done studies to determine what would happen if Tamiflu is used on a massive scale - which would happen if a pandemic were to occur.

Probably 1 week into the global pandemic - if it happens - the flu bug would probably have already developed resistance to the drug.

The best way to prevent getting the flu - or any infectious disease is to not put your hands in your mouth, eyes or ear.
