Dontcha wish they'd spent more time discussing the yes/no questions with him earlier and less time going Spanish Inquisition on him for the nuances of how he responded to the Goodes circus?

You're probably right about that. It's pretty much IMPOSSIBLE to get a straight up yes or no out of a public figure these days. They should make Yes, No or Maybe the opening for all interviews, and then ask follow up questions where appropriate. It'd be the new Good Call, Bad Call.

As a Swans fan I'm [somewhat] more open to Goodesie and His Boo-sies talk I guess. It was interesting to hear that the Commission wasn't unanimous right through their deliberations on a response. The press seems [finally?] to unanimously agree with Caro in that the Commission was dead slow off the mark.

Would Gills have been given the questions beforehand?

I don't think so. Having worked in the media, it's common to give notice of question areas before an Iv though. You can tell on footy shows when they have been given the questions - those are the most boring interviews.

I'm interested in the Goodes discussion, I just don't think they covered anything that hadn't been covered already, and belaboured the point somewhat reducing the time for covering other issues. It's not often you get the AFL CEO on, so why not make the most of it?

It was obvious that Garry was struggling in that segment, just reading names off a list that he has never heard of and, as you say, naming Jacobs who while not old is not exactly a rookie either.

[Once a'gin] Caro takes an arrow from her righteous quiver and fires that bad [girl] right down the beam into Tan Man Hird's [second or maybe third] "living space". Another ouch on another couch.

Caro is the AntiOldBoy, and I cannot wait to see whose "living space" she busts wide the fact open next week!

Did Double RR Gary close with a cook?

I enjoyed the ep. It had the right balance of off-field/on-field (75/25), Garry and AOB had a couple spirited stoushies, Lloydy wore Footy Assified's BEST SHIRT EVER and Jabba the Hutch's hair could have a show of it's own.

7.5/10

OT- When this is all over I, for one, will miss Jabba's Lettermanesque pen flipping and whatnot behind the closing credits. He hasn't got a skerrick of legitimacy left so I doubt we'll ever again see him toss papers in the air and wave his hands like he [of all people] is scandalized by his co-panelist's nuptyness.

She's OK. I think without her it would quickly end up being another edition of the footy show. So I'm thankful for that.

she really hates the Bombers and when she has a shitfight going - she will keep it going on and on and on but I actually like her - she makes the show a bit more "newsy" than it would otherwise be.

The criticism Caro cops on this show and as a journalist in the whole is completely unwarranted
Agree. Caro is awesome. She doesn't hate Essendon, she hates arrogance, boys-clubbing and cheating.

Wow, the Old Boys Club (Gaz and Matty) get off the Hird highway and Caro's been talking to high rollers from the Bombers boardroom.

Garry calls out Throbbo for being the first to name the Bombers (reputedly) Dirty Dozen in the Stun. Nice.

Roll on Assified.

Jabba the Hutch tries to break the footynet by calling for tinkering with free agency and trades.

Caro points the bone at Micky Fits and the Commission Flats, then Garry pays respect to her bangin' skillz in the opening stories [yo].
