Mguane used to be a gun foward in his junior football years and is also a queenslander (so no go home problem)

:pGotta love this ol' chesnut ... McGuane used to be a gun forward in his junior days.
You do realise he has played down forward a few times for us and looked all at sea!!
The Mitch Clark move is a no-brainer .. he's not the payers for us.
He has made it perfectly clear he wants to play as a key forward, hence not in the ruck.
If we're looking for a ruck it's ludicrous to be looking at someone who has no desire to play the role!

Clark wants $650k per season.

Clark wants to get his head checked because that puts well into the top 20 paid players in the AFL. And considering freo pay sandi and pav close to a mill tho i think they are vets or will be and mundy and Fyfe would be on 500-600 mark can't see them paying him that much. Throws out your entire pay grading

Well that would put him on more money than Riewoldt for a guy who hasn't played well since 2009....

It's a no from me.

Hey C4 are you hearing any other news regarding the Tigers trade period?

Haven't heard much to be honest at this point in time aside from little tid-bits on Clark (Bris), Maric and Jolly - but I'll get to work on it and see what I can dig up. :thumbsu:

Looks like alot of my fellow richmond supporters missed the point i was trying to make with my #166 in regards to Mguane,Farmer

Have a look at what i was responding to & see if you can work out what i meant ;)

i dont see how we cannot get both and play Clark as a Power foward alongside Riewoldt and rotate Vickery and Maric in the ruck

Thursfield is also a solid lock down player that could be the perfect wingman for merrett and really sure up your defence

We could also throw in Farmer - small backman to look after those pesky milne types

I too support all these claims. In fact Farmer was a top 15 pick originally. Very good summisation TG. And those swans better keep their hands off Jackson our toughest and most reliable tagger.

I went and read all 13 pages before replying to this - most of you would be aware of the talk regarding his family, seems to be a trigger for the move. WC need him even less than we do - over in our boards most of us are mixed on how he'd fit in, and most of us would prefer to keep Clarke and move on Griff if we must. Clarke has already come out and mentioned that he loves the club

Fremantle ruckman Zac Clarke does not want to be considered trade bait in any potential deal to bring Brisbane's Mitch Clark back home to WA and is determined to force a formidable Dockers union with teammate Aaron Sandilands

Ive mentioned this a few times. Some people don't listen and romanticize about having him play for us. Feel free to let us have him though :thumbsu:

I think this is crazy. If it doesn't happen it doesn't happen.

But if Clarke does not want to go back to vic to RFC and play he is nuts.

If he has the love of his life over there bring her over . honestly it makes no sense.

Clarke will not get a better chance to win a premiership over his career as his age is consistent with Cotch etc..., Clark really is suited to Freo, as is Sandi and Griff, and Freo should be happy because the stars are aligning for them frankly with that combination if they want a premiership over the next three years.

I do not know what to say if it doesn't happen:eek:, but Clarke , I must question his intelligence an advisors he is not willing to make the move. It would be in his long term interest and IMO best chance to win a premiership let alone the money and other advantages. Very strange:eek:

No body would want to play for a team that hasn't won a flag in 30years and finals in ten...

They players at Richmond understand were there at so they won't leave.

To catch big fish we need big bait.

crazy or not clark is an east freo product and with his young family he wants to go back to his mates and family.theres nothing crazy or wrong with that.so he will not come to melbourne i think you will find he would rather stay in brisbane where he is settled if he cant go back home, not melbourne.if he moved anywhere else it would be gc or gws for big cash for his family.and to the freo guy that said he is confused about clark fitting in at freo, are you kidding me:eek:.name two other good key forwards in your team other than an ageing, injured pavlich.and before you say he is a ruckman how many times has the man himself said he would rather play key forward.you would get a good key forward who can play ruck not the other way around, whether you think he is better in the ruck or not is neither here nor there,he would come as a key forward.

So, let me get this straight... Clarke's best chance of winning a premiership is with the Tigers, but at the same time, "the stars are aligning" for a Freo premiership over the next three years.... a Freo team which Zac Clarke happens to have cemented a spot in?

has dangerfield indicated he wants to return to vic or is this still piss talk...id be prepared to do a straight swap with edwards with perhaps Nason thrown in as steak knives:confused:

I think it's pretty much wishful thinking on supporters parts. I would love him at the Tigers, but can not see it happening.

Lol Edwards and Nason for Dangerfield....lulz!

Just to put your offer in perspective Adelaide will be asking for someone like Martin in return. Not saying he is worth Martin but that is how they view Dangerfield and rightly so as he is a very good player.

Pick 14 and Compo....DO IT!
