If you go to that link provided above, then at the bottom of that page there is a number of buttons, use the 'packages' option - all the details are there.

I'm on hold with Foxtel at the moment on the phone. I got my 'as an existing subscriber wea re offering ot he exlusive opportunity to be the first.....blah blah blah' letter in the mail today.

It seems they are rolling out installation from March 8th, and setting you up on your package of choice now.

Once installed, there is another date when the big boss is going to flick the switch to actually turn it on. That date hasn't been released yet - they said they are concerned about competitors trying to beat them to the mark or something like that, so they aren't releasing the 1st date of broadcast date just yet.

Ok, I've just been given my installation date of 9th of March. I wonder how long after that till it is actually broadcasting?

Did you get something in the mail?

I registered with them when I saw it on the website a couple of (2 - 4??) weeks ago.

I got a letter today in the mail about it all.

It has the same pricing structures etc that are on the website, a 'recommended' digital package for our household based on our current ananlogue package, and a little fold out flyer thingy that has pics of the screens of certain channels and the options available with them etc.

By the very end of the phone conversation (read as: Cust Service Officer excusing himself to sip water, dry throat from taking all these calls today for installations - me saying 'well having an activation date would be handy', and him eventually ringing around the supervisors etc) we ended up with last week of March/first week of april as activation date, so those already installed will be ready to go as soon as it is switched on.

Turned up today, rang them mine will be done on march 10th. I suggest if you want digital give them a call. The costs that are listed on the website are the same as what came in the mail today.

You can also mix and match the 'add on blue box' packs

Foxtel slyly ignore this fact on their website and which only has the pricing for all 3 blue packs upgrading from 'basic' to 'big value' (3 packs which duplicate some channels)

Is around $10 for one seperate blue pack (ie. if you just want ESPN you can get 'Fun & Entertainment pack' only and not bother with the other two)

Don't be fooled :p

Im ready to go on the 10th of march. What package do you guys think has the most value, i signed up with the 68.95 package but im getting ripped off because the foreign channel is an extra 14 bucks which puts my bill up to 82.00 a month. Is there anyway i can make it cheaper for eg taking out the history channels box and paying 10 bucks less? Any assistance would be appreciated, thanks.

I'll wait until they've skimmed the cream then look for a bargain. I don't see that they offer much over what I have now.
Movies every 30 mins, dozens of different views for watching sport, heaps of extra channels, you have all that now?

Don't watch the movies and the so called "extra channels" are not that hot for the price HOWEVER those different angles and replay action of choice...mmmmmmm....

Movies every 30 mins,

That are pay per view......every 30 mins.

When you read the price structure for example, the platinum package includes 2 of those movies per month. When you then sign up they tell you '$12 movie credit which is the equivalent of 2 on demand movies per month'.

So each one of those you want to watch that you can access at a starting time of every 30 mins, is going to cost you $6, and be added to your bill.

Yet still cheaper than hiring the exact same movie at your local video store.

Audio channels? Er... radio anyone?

I agree - there isn't anything going on here that I need to jump on right now. And if the "audio" channels are anything like radio, it'll bethe same crappy songs over and over anyway...

The Foxtel man told me that the $49.95 installation fee only applies to the Big Value package ($68.95 per month) and above, where as the Basic Package ($49.95 per month) will have an installation fee of $109. I opted for the Big Value so I could escape the $109 fee and then I can always drop back to the Basic Package after a month if need be. Although the two Foxtel people I spoke to gave differing information, and seemed a bit bewildered / overwhelmed, so make sure you ask heaps of questions before signing on the dotted line. Be warned.....

With all that said - I absolutely can't wait!!! :D
