You cannot blame it all on Miller.

1. Our first pick was 33
2. Frawley has the final say on everything
3. Frawley had no direction for the future so miller was drafting all over the place.
4. He manged to get hyde at 68 who has been servicable.

Frawley thought he had a premiership side at the end of 01 (we made the prelim) and therefore topped up. Miller did as he was instructed to do.

seems plenty of other knuckleheads in the media seem to think he was half decent as well. surely some of these football 'experts' are on autocue when talking about the tigers, especially when frawley was there, because they seem to have nothing but praise for him and his 'work' there.

I think that is where Frawley's failure stemmed from.

He had no football philosophy. He couldn't tell you what he believed in. He wouldn't have been able to sit down and tell you in advance how he would handle any situation.

One week he'd be in a press conference protecting his players from criticism, the next he'd criticise them. One week the kids where the future - the next the veterans needed one more chance. Some drafts we went for veterans, some for kids, some for light-bodies, dome for big blokes. His footy tactics flitered about week by week.

One week he'd be telling us that Richo had to play goalsquare - next he'd be CHF.

The guy had no vision of what he was doing. No concept of where he was going.

I disagree with a lot of Wallace believes in. But at least he has an obvious and consistant approach.

He always defends the players in public. He recruits the same types of players most of the time. His game plan is pretty obvious and doesn't change week to week.

If you ever asked Wallace to explain how premierships are won - he'd bore you to death with a 2hr Powerpoint presentation of exactly what was needed and how we intend to get there.

Frawley would have shrugged his shoulders, issued 400 cliches, and gone about stumbling through an answer that saw him contradicting himself with every other statement.
