Another old team. Been going around in circles for 15 years with this. At some stage we will have to be prepared to lose some games with kids in order to build a premiership team.

Next year we will be a young side. Once all the players we've felt obliged to be loyal too retire.

This doesn't bode well for Sunday

In other news, the new AFL Evolution game is pretty shitty

What difficulty you playing on? on normal I was getting my arse handed switched to easy and now it's too easy the difficulty level is out of whack

I moved Hooker forward and he's been kicking bags of goals every week haha.

Cool.

So bottom 4 this year with the old. Bottom 4 next year with the young and then bottom 4 again with new coach and rebuild plans.

Rinse. Repeat.

Don't think we'll finish bottom 4 this year or next year for that matter Essendon is a middle of the road side just need to nail our picks or trade for some good young players.

essendon will continue to be a middle of the road side while we continue to play Stanton, kelly, Goddard,Watson, baguly. Etc etc etc.

extremely un inventive coaching. I expect a 5 goal loss.

Our game is just impossible to make a decent video game. Shattering it would b unreal.
I'm on normal and just played the women's freo team.

inaccuracy let them down, and I was still massively out muscled

Cant stand ******* Subiaco why is our team so afraid to play there? What makes it worst is we have to deal with the home crowds biased umpiring.
Because free kicks usually favour the home teams in Perth 2-3 to 1.

You would think Wooshas and Harvey's insights into the ground would have the players primed to play it well.

Will be p#ssed if Lachie Neale gets 40 possessions against us again. He stars every time we play them.

This will be like most games - won or loss from the midfield. Dockers absolutely need to win the midfield to win the game but there is every reason to think they will. I don't really rate their forward line but they will be able to kick a winning score if we allow the same kind of inside 50 advantage that we have routinely been allowing opposition sides.

I think we've named a pretty good forward line ourselves and we should be able to score with decent supply.
The backline we've named is OK but we will miss McGrath's rebound and Ambrose would have been handy for a shutdown role on McCarthy.

I'm glad we only named 1 ruck because we will lose the hitouts to Sandilands anyway but at least Daniher when he's in there can really run him around and his field kicking can really hurt sides. Leuenberger will be competitive in the ruck.

Will be interesting to see what matchups we come up with for the midfield. If you say that Dockers 3 to look out for are Fyfe, Mundy and Neale then I'd say they will mostly be playing against Heppell, Myers and Goddard. We will rotate lots of players through - in particular speedy types. I think we quite like throwing Tippa in there for 5 minute patches and I expect that to continue.

We do lack a bit of pace out of the backline but we have some good kicks back there so it shouldn't be a real issue for us in terms of rebound. They probably miss having Ballantyne as that 2nd small dangerous forward.

I expect Freo to smash at the clearances. Fyfe, Mundy and Neale are hitting their straps and Sandi will give them first use. Saw an article on Blakely who seems to have taken Ryan Crowley's role and is playing it well. He'll go to Zach Merrett I suppose, or Heppell. If we bring Stewart in, maybe Daniher can play up the field more and run Sandi out as you've mentioned. I feel like it will either be a close game and we'll hang in there or Freo will school us by 6 - 10 goals.
