I enjoyed the finale. It answered some questions about why that place exists but not how our stuck residents can escape.

I thought that baby Fatima was carrying would be that smiley monster. Julie's time traveling was confirmed, and that was a version of her from the future trying to save Jim. Who the hell that man in yellow was is anybody's guess. The reincarnation subplot confirmed with Tabitha & Jade being reincarnated souls of parents whose child was sacrificed (although I assume they were never on board since they didn't become monsters like the others.) We know this all happened when Victor was a child, and what followed was a purge where everyone except Victor was killed). So another purge is coming, which is why that demon woman told Elgin they would all go home if he helped with the baby because going home to her meant they'd all be killed so the souls could reincarnate again). That was some nasty shit they did to Elgin. The scene between Victor and his dad was touching. These thoughts are just my opinion on what happened.

It's been a really good season.

Can’t disagree there Blakes

I never thought I’d find a show that came close to my love of LOST…but I found it all in 8 weeks

That’s my opinion

Haven't read the thread but just finished the s3 binge (we refuse to watch this week by week). Predictably there were few questions answered with a heap more questions added on top to keep us all watching next season where we rinse and repeat until either the ratings drop and it's cancelled or they completely lose track of the plot and go with the they were dead all along (surprise!) ending. Following the Lost recipe completely except the actors and the material they have to work with are not as good.

I think bingeing is the way to go, I'll do that for Season 4.
That and fast forwarding through any scene with Fatima and Ellis

And Victor who just throws a tantrum about something in every scene he's in.

I did quite enjoy Paul Rudd lite getting his throat ripped out though. Hopefully that yellow jacket guy can go on with it in s4.

Paul Rudd lite 😂
He will always be Webster to me from Band Of Brothers, it was all I could think of to the point of distraction

I think some are missing the point; it is a slow burn and deliberately slow because these shows are built also on the characters and their interactions. If you stayed the course with LOST you should have been a sobbing mess when Jack closed his eye in the final episode. I don’t mind it at all…I’m invested now and I want as many as possible to get out of this friggin town and be upset at whatever happens in the finale.

Which is fine if those interactions aren't all just hysterical arguments.

I'm also invested. I hope they all die horrible deaths.*

*Assuming they're not actually dead already (surprise!)

Mrs B makes me so sorry/not sorry in advance but this isn't going to be a positivity echo chamber. You're going to get some negative takes too which I'm more than happy to discuss if you wish. Otherwise, just scroll on Gaso.

Which one is that?
The super smart rich invention man guy that we know absolutely nothing about apart from him being super smart and rich from inventioning something super smart

only just discovered this thread, replied in the netflix thread.

i've watched a couple of episodes, and it's not for me. it's not a bad show at all, there's some good things about it. but i can't commit to what feels like i will be many hours and days of my time sunk, only for very little to have happened. which i know won't be true. it just doesn't have me willing to jump off that cliff. some of that is the characters, who i can't get behind.
i feel like i'm committing myself to 4 seasons of horror tropes. which again, i can hardly say will be the case having only seen two episodes. but 'walking dead' has ruined shows of this ilk for me.

dirty disclaimer: i know 'lost' and its connection to this show, but maybe only watched a few bits of 3-4 episodes of it at most.

Again, I always wonder why people insist on joining a thread to declare they're not watching a TV show. Cool, dude, but honestly, we couldn't care less.

i always wonder why people insist on posting in a thread to declare that they couldn't care less about someone commenting they are not watching a show that they are watching.

i came in, and actually said there were good things about the show. and that was going to be the extent of my involvement in this thread until your ridiculous post. i enjoy reading threads on shows i don't watch, and in those i keep my opinions to a minimum, so that people like you can discuss your favourite shows in peace. but, i appear to have hurt your feelings. i was unaware my comments would make you so upset. so, my apologies. enjoy your show. my wife is certainly enjoying it.

Don’t be dumb, dumb, the answer is right in front of you

I’m just as guilty but I suppose where I differ is my disappointment when shows I enjoy start to turn to shit. Eg Yellowstone is the case in point

I suppose the reason for creating this thread was to explore the stories in From but that hasn’t happened

I should have stayed on Reddit to get that in-depth discussion

As the title song says…

I get it now we're only allowed to post criticism about TV shows on this forum if we do it the right way.

Currently binging this - up to S2 E6 after about 9 days (or nights of watching). Loving it, really struggling to remember character names for some reason though.
It's not you. It's because they're all shallow and vanilla. 😀

The great thing about Lost imo was the backstorys of the characters. They were well scripted and well acted and made you invest in how those characters progressed on the island once you knew how they came to be there.. and pretty much every character got one. You just don't get that in this show.

It's like they gave up on the backstories, we had a little glimpse of Boyd and his wife, Donna and her sister, and even bits of Viktors past then nothing.
To be fair if I had to site through a Fatima backstory I would probably put myself in the box for a night.

But yeh you don't really get a chance to care for any characters because you don't know them, and because of that they have no scope for growth, they're just there reacting to stuff and yelling at each other.
