When Adelaide or Port had a home game on a Friday night, Channel Nine never used to show it live. It would usually be on a 30 minute delay.

that's not what I remember. I recall it occurring a few times at least. Dunno about all the time though.

I'm disappointed that in Rd 3, Carlton play Essendon on the Sat arvo and we wont get to see it, even on Foxtel till about 9pm

I found it after much looking around the Fox Sports website.

I sent them an email after watching the Pura Cup Final highlights - they showed about 3 balls of the match-defining 163 run partnership between Clingeleffer and Butterworth.

Definitely a Work Experience Student compiled highlights package. :D

ta. i complained and emailed them the link to this thread.

maybe they will read it and consider the suggestions.

showing a full replay of each game at least once with the rest of the times throughout the week being cut is ok.

i just want the full version shown once so i can record and keep it like i did with fox footy.

'every game every week':(

Yeah I noticed that in the WC vs SYD game. They were cutting out the points scored. In the end, WC only won by a point, so maybe the points I missed were important!!

Would have been frustrating if I was a WC or Syd fan.

Oh it was believe me coz here in QLD it was the only coverage we got and we stayed up all night without watching the news(to avoid the knowledge of the full time score) to watch it.

This is a minor issue , as mattwinter said the bigger issue is when fox shows the same game at the same time as the FTA network meaning we miss out on a game all together. ( ie past saturday 2pm perth channel 10 live freo v port - 2pm perth foxtel live freo v port )

That game we miss is shown later that night in 90 minute form - so we dont get to watch that game anywhere near when it was played and have to wait until Tuesday/Wednesday to see that game in full - let alone replays !!!

getting only 7 games a week is a joke and this should be rectified first !!

This is happening in WA , SA and QLD as far as i know

Ok so the games are shown in full once then?

Didn't know that.

I IQ'd the 90min version on Satday without realising it was 90 mins and the others 120.

I saw it was on for two hours today and assumed they were still cutting bits because when you include adds and the fact that most quarters go a few minutes over 30 mins then surely they cant fit the full thing into two hours.

Perhaps I'm wrong.

That's what I assumed (and I hope Im right otherwise my angry email will look very silly).

Take the Bulldogs/Geelong game for example. At least two of the quarters went for 31 minutes. There's no way that will be a full replay in under 2 hours. I'm pretty sure that Fox Footy used to show 2.5 hour replays.

I haven't minded Fox's coverage. At least it's live. As opposed to the FTA coverage. Channel 7's is woeful, I'm half expecting Phil Cleary as special comments.

the AFL Match of the round on tonight is the Carlton vs Richmond game.....who decides which game is match of the round?????

following that is an AFL Classic Match.....which tonight is the 2002 Preliminary Final Collingwood vs Adelaide.....clearly an inspired choice

I noticed they're cutting down their supposed 'full replays' down to two hours inc adds and fast forwarding through about 10-15 minutes in each match.

How frustrating, my fav feature on Fox Footy was the full replay, so I could DVD the games to keep.

Just looking at the Fox Sports website, I can't find anywhere to complain about this??

Anybody else annoyed?

Sure am...I used to always tape the replays, because they had a replay of the goal, as apposed to an ad and so on. I was most disappointed that they didn't show them singing the song afterwards!

Yep I agree cutting the games down to 90 minutes is a disgrace! Winners last night was also crap, used to have the coaches of both teams interviewed - not anymore. Sydney supporters in Sydney probably get the best cover as the Swans is always shown live or near live on FTA in its entirety and we now get live Friday night football which is great.

Which is what Fox Sports is doing with full replays of all 8 games on Tuesdays & Wednesdays every week

Note - Fox Footy also had the 90 minute replays of games

These "full replays" are edited, you do realise. I'm watching the Eagles-Sydney game as we speak and it went from a Hunter goal to a throw-in in the Sydney forward line... weird huh?

We had this problem in Qld this week. We missed the Sydney WC match. We sat through Lions V Hawks on two platforms instead! Then to watch Sydney WC we had a replay Saturday night at 11:30 pm and then today at 11 am or something. You would think the obvious thing to do would be to replay missed games because of the double up on Sunday morning. Perhaps that makes too much sense?

Absolute disgrace this year, the footy on FTA.. I could not believe that the Sunday afternoon game on 7 was DELAYED!!!! FGS< at least Nine had a LIVE broadcast last year at 1 pm..Sheesh Channel 7 had some stupid movie about Dallas or something at 2pm..
:

Is it only victoria that its delayed?
In NSW and QLD, and probably the other states, its live at 2pm.

Good coverage too. Bruce poped a few V's and Dennis mixed his metaphores into a deadly concotion.

NOPE ! Here in WA last Sunday we got the game on channel 7 on delay as channel 7 decided to show a star trek documentary and a rerun episode of an old sitcom "hope and faith"

I think the game was delayed by at least 2 hours

I watched the second half of the full replay of Collingwood vs. Kangaroos.

Followed by the edited replay....

They had only skipped through the irrelevant bits of the game. I couldn't remember missing a minute of the last quarter.

Yep. By the time Seven started showing the game, I couldn't be bothered watching it.

Concerning Channel 7, everyone seems to forget, that with the new AFL coerced TV deal, Foxtel gets 4 live games per week, so the game we used to get at 11am on Sunday last year on 9, is now on Foxtel, and we get the replayed game as we did last year at 3pm.

This week Adelaide doesn't get Essendon v Fremantle untill 7:30pm on Fox - we get the Port game delayed by 1/2 an hour on 7 (and live on Fox) then the crows game live on both Fox and FTA.

Ridiculus - either 7 should forget about the crows game and show the game they are meant to show (the game they produce) or Fox should be able to show the Essendon v Freo game live as well...

yeah! on fox sports 2 or 3 or +

I recall last year on FoxFooty the ANZAC day game also had footage missing from the 2 hour replay. Couldn't believe it - given its one of the biggest matches.
