Mark Thompson banned for 12 months
Stephen Dank banned from any invovlement with any AFL club for life.
Essendon FC stripped of all points for 2012 & 2013 season, with records also to be annulled
Essendon FC to play for no premiership points in 2014 (ala Melbourne Storm)
Essendon FC fined $2m
Essendon FC banned from Round 1 & 2 of draft for 2013, 2014 & 2015 National Draft.
Essendon FC banned from signing any player under free agency for same period.
Essendon FC lose rights to ANZAC Day match permanently. (the AFL don't want their showpiece H&A match in Melbourne to be a farce)

This gem from our favourite specialist mod back around June

My favourite bit there is records to be annulled. So, um....what does that even mean exactly? That the games don't count towards a player's individual total. How on earth does that work for the opposition sides, then? Do those games not count towards their totals either?

It's also not 'ala Melbourne Storm' at all. Storm were stripped of their points earned for season 2010, had the '07 and '09 premierships stripped, and were stripped of the ability to play for points for the remainder of 2010....during season 2010. So the situation is not exactly comparable with Storm's.

I can't be bothered with the rest of it.

Not going to link to it under the "no linking to oxygen thieves" rule that should exist (it's fun applying rules as loosely as the AFL), but DawOfPromotion is at it again - this time his website has an article comparing the supposedly experimental nature of the supplements program to the Nazi scientists.

Oh wow. So in the space of a day James Hird has become El Hirdo but is now formally known as Adolf Hirdler.

Seriously, I have no idea where some people get off. Has DoP done any research ever into the human experiments performed by the Nazis?

This has reached a new low.

I for one have continually advocated firing V2 rockets from either side of the race every time the players run out onto the 'G at home games. Nobody listens.

Godwin's Law strikes again.

What a 'mate' tried telling me.

Essendon are still drug cheats OzBomber, not sure how you Essendon supporters keep forgetting about Jobe admitting he was injected with something he wasn't aware about and signed the paper, WADA's philosophy is if it's in your system you're gone. Probably wasn't in his system anymore luckily for Essendon otherwise Essendon were truly ****ed. You can't say they aren't drug cheats you can only say they got away with it.

Okay mate, 100% cover up. And Jobe had no idea he was taking AOD. kk.

to be fair, the author of that piece is an expert in this field.

Dr James Bradley is a Lecturer in the History of Medicine and Life Sciences in the School of Historical and Philosophical Studies at the University of Melbourne. He is currently researching a history of the nervous system while teaching subjects on Darwin and the history of psychiatry. He started a life as an historian of sport: his PhD “Cricket, Class and Colonialism” was awarded by the University of Edinburgh in 1991.

DawOfPromotion I don't expect you to offer an explanation, but you're an absolute clod

I think a collection of what he wrote combined with his real identity might be of interest to lawyers at Essendon.

In the same way that a possum that's been run over might be of interest to lawyers at Essendon.

Yes, I think they have much bigger fish to fry, as much as we'd like it.
