He's a big unit who only has 30 games under his belt, and is only now starting to put a bit of bulk on.

Playing in defense, he was leading our club best and fairest last year before getting injured, and then returned to play the remainder of the season at CHF, which probably wasn't ideal.

He's tracking fine, and his stats support that, but there's others around here that will disagree.

The thing with Hansen is that opposition coaches tend to drag his opponent back to the goal square to negate Hansens running and attempt to expose him physically.

This is primarily the reason for his lowish stat count.

At the moment hes the guy who looks the shakiest when caught out of position or put under pressure. thats why hes being dragged to the goalsquare.

Well done North. I was very impressed by the footy that your blokes played yesterday. Liam Anthony is going to be just massive this year and Warren also looks set for a bumper season. I like the game style the Roos showed off yesterday and I reckon you will make the eight this year.

The soft 50s also underlined the sheer stupidity of the 9 point goals rule. I think there is no doubt that it will never be introduced in the regular season (or at least I hope so), so why the fekk bother with it in the preseason comp?

By my reckoning we were one of only 4 teams not to roll out any of our 09 draftees this round. (WCE, Adelaide & Collingwood being the others). I take this as a good sign, its not like there hasn't been plenty of excitement about them. I'm sure we will see one or two in the next few weeks but come the regular season we've just got plenty of options to be looking at that we might not see any till later on in the year.

I think that would be a direct result of having so many from the '06, '07 and '08 draft groups in the side. 13 from my count, just from those 3 drafts. White, Speight on the fringes and Grima and Thomas injured.

Why dont they make those 50 metre penalty goals 6 points?

Dont mind the 9 pointers but those dubious ones ruin it completely.

They just need to make it where its kicked from. If its payed downfield and kicked from inside 50 then its 6 points the 50m penalty should be enough of a bonus.

I agree, in the square going body on body is the last place we want Lachie. He will be helped out when Grima returns.
