I just wonder if sometimes I'm a little slow on the uptake. (Shut up Lance Uppercut ! :p). But it really is the perfect emoticon sometimes.

That wording would indicate that he's done something other than say to the passing media that things are in the hands of his lawyers. His lawyers must have very big hands because he's given them a lot of things to work on. They must also be very busy because they haven't acted on a single one yet.
This whole thing will blow over without him testifying, giving an ounce of evidence, or suing anybody.

I think Deloitte are probably better at keeping records than EFC. The idea the records disappeared after being made available is hilarious. Big city accountants getting paid by the hour to log documents aren't going to lose records.

Maybe the records are on Bill Valhos' computer.

Yes, his lawyers have a lot to do. Though have failed everytime thus far to sue anyone.

You will recall the timeline. The Commission came out in a blaze of glory with their penalties and negotiated with Hird and Essendon for the big ones to be accepted. By the time Reid told them to get knotted they had made their point, had their "big fish", and didn't mind dropping the Reid charge in the hope everyone - under the stifling barrage of "let's get on with the game now" media stories - would forget it and move on. Thompson pushed his penalty to the limit and the AFL didn't seem to be trying too hard on that either. Corcoran's penalty was so small it wasn't worth fighting.

When you think about it, the headline hits negotiated were to Hird - who turned out to have the under the table deal to be paid for the year - and to the club and players, who missed their final, had minimal draft impacts, and paid a fine when they apparently have more money than they know what to do with anyway. Liz Lukin earned her money that year.

If WADA takes a different view, all that short term pain will amount to nought. 24 days ago, they thought it was all done and dusted. Patting themselves on the back for a job well done. 3 weeks is a long time in football.

I think because it was a print form a file, not a single once only hand written doc, and it post dated most of the program, most sane people have consigned it to the bin with Hird's credibility

It's just more of the great big **** ing global conspiracy against poor innocent Essendon.

On the other hand it might just be the 14 hour time difference between Montreal and Melbourne combined with the time it takes for the information to get into the Australian news cycle.
