Don't know if this has already been brought up, but just read in todays paper that Gary Ayres has a burning desire to coach again and wants to be the main man at windy hill. Given that he's had relative success at two clubs, albeit without a premiership, would don supporters embrace him or not?

Gary Ayres took Geelong to the 95 Grand Final with an awesome team he inherited from Malcolm Blight. The same can be said with when he took over the Adelaide team.

Gary did ok at Adelaide and Geelong and I dont wish him any malice.
But one thing that stood out IMHO was he was very one dimentional, not only in his game plan but also his handling of the playing group.
He may have learnt alot from sheedy in those departments, but I am not convinced.
Yes he can coach , but can he take a group to a flag ???

Now we find out that "Conan" is putting his hand up and has the hunger back.
