Apparently the GFL Giants just and I mean just got over the line against the GDFL Giants, was this the game you watched?

Yes. The GDFL Giants seem to have recruited different types of athletes/footballers to play set roles within. What impressed me was that they made their more credentialed opponents CHANGE their game and react to their strengths when they got on top, but reality is the GFL GIANTS always had another gear when they wanted and played many kids in between to share the load.

Yeah they got their arses handed to them from all reports! I hear that both clubs actually have a good relationship so both just happy to have a hit out.

You can't take practice matches to seriously with players availability but did have a look at East Geelong yesterday recognized 4 to 6 players .Good test against CDFL premiers Birregurra .Not all recruits on show but very impressed with speed Something they lacked last year .A much better side than last year .Not sure whether prediction of 5th is correct but certainly will test sides.Test will be how fast the recruits will gel together . Will not finish bottom 4.

How will east go with the point system. They had issues last year trying to play the best 22 players week in week out.

Yes very true.Maybe a very strong 2's side .Time will tell.Big CHF and FF didn't play yesterday but enough to say even with half the recruits they will be competitive . East did receive a extra couple of points.
 
Devils coach Brett Nolan says his club doesn’t condone what took place.

“The player involved has been suspended from all aspects of the club indefinitely,” he said in a statement.

“The club supports any decision the league and the tribunal make.



The question I ask does Brett Nolan condone Taylors actions!!!

Is that confirmed that East Geelong have been given extra points for players ? If so that just makes AFL Barwon a complete joke!!!
Have any other clubs been given concessions due to the fact that the lame people that run there clubs can't get a half reasonable junior program going

Yes that is confirmed
40 pts BPH, banno, inver, Thomson, nth and Belmont

43 pts Werribee and east

45 pts Anakie, Corio, winch and west

I can understand ANAKIE,WINCH and to a lesser extent WEST,but not CORIO as they have a junior base.As for WERRIBEE you've got to be joking there U18s were red hot last season and as for EAST there problems are through poor management in developing a junior program and continually buying a list.
If EAST got help from AFL BARWON, why not Thomson, another club that has failed to implement a junior program.
Perhaps as we are the lowest ranked league in the region they should give all of us 45 points

AFL Barwon are a joke, at all levels, with you on that one.

Yeah totally agree. I think afl Barwon spent 2 minutes on the GDFL pts. They have justed looked at the ladder to allocate pts but haven't looked at the junior system. Werribee played in the div 2 colts grand final.

If you're able to work out the reasoning for some of the GDFL points allocations, see if you can fill me in on why Queenscliff and Drysdale are given extra points in the BFL.
