This weeks games are massive for the ladder!
Winch could still miss out on finals?
East and west big game also banno and Werribee
 
I see ash whitney has put in a clearance back to BPH....things must have really gone sour behind the scenes at Belmont

He was unable to meet his contractual obligations due to work commitments so was released from his contract, unless he is intending to play which i feel is highly unlikely, the only other reason you would seek a clearance would be to coach, either his work commitments have changed or something shifty going on here, if BPH have got anything to do with it, i’d say shifty.

Let’s face it, with Oberon leaving in the near future, it could get uglier than it currently is, they went down the uni student direction about 14-15 years ago and apart from the one obvious spike (07) it’s been a cycle of 2 wins up to about 6-8 every couple of years, then back to the start, also very little past players there unlike other clubs

Yep you are 100% correct, sadly with regards to past players they are not the only club that suffer that fate.
Everyone wants to get on the gravy train when ur winning but they hop off pretty quick when ur not

With the weather tipped to be horrendous tomorrow I think it will even up a few games across the round.

My tips are:
Winch def Belmont by 40
BPH def Anakie by 11
East def GWG by 5
Thomson def North by 30
Inverleigh def Corio by 70
Bannockburn def Werribee by 18

Ash's son plays for BPH and he was always told he would be welcomed back to the club.

Talk about sugar coat it, ask yourself this question, why would your son not play for a club you coach, unless of course you were never intending to stay.
This whole saga has been set up months ago and the wider football community are all aware of it.
Outside of the Panthers, his credibility is shot.
I’m interested to know why the club has to ALWAYS take responsibility for this crap and players and coaches get to walk away unmarked.

Ask yourself this - Why would you force your son to play for any club? Even one you coach?
They live in BPH, he did Auskick there. Goes to the local school. Maybe he wants to play with his mates? Not a club where he knows no other kids and is across town and Mum would have to drive him to training. Gee, leave the kids out of it and get a life.

Well done to interim "supercoach" Lachy Edwards and the loyal Belmont players who never gave up, had a red hot go on a shit day and put a severe dent in Winch's finals hopes......
The Club and the supporters were rapt and proud and deserved that win, great to see some smiles and hear the song, it has been a battle this year (plus I barrack for Carlton....) but they will all stick together, hopefully win a few more, especially Bell Post Hill at home round 16 ...;)

Wasn’t actually me who mentioned his son to start with, as long as he enjoys his footy he should play where ever he wants to play, having said that, the young fella was pretty well known at Belmont.
And by the way, your argument might have stood a chance had he not played at Grovey while Ash was there.
Its all over now so maybe me and a few others can maybe concentrate on what looms as a good up coming finals series.
Must admit, along with Punchy, i am looking forward to Rd 16

Anyway, young kids shouldn’t be involved in this crap.

What’s happened to Winch again??

What has happened to the Giants? Maybe they need more handouts from the league? (Sarcasm).

At this point Werribee look the only challengers. The league has evened up from 2-7 but Thomson the only good team going around the league this year , good timing for them to cash in. Their’s to lose.

Could have been said last season when it was inver that were in a similar spot as Thompson this season and we know what happened there

Belmont 6.15 d North 6.14
Inver over Anakie in a close one
East over Winch (winch no good in the wet, just ask Belmont:))
Bell Post Witney Hill down to Banno - will be pleasant weather up at the Hill
Werribee to upset Thomson potentially up there...
And wouldnt it be great to see Corio beat Giants and put them out of finals!

Well Thompson were meant to be unbeatable and no one has a chance!
