Pretty tight round of footy apart from one or two games..

Werribee by 15 points over East
Thomson to draw with Anakie
Bell Post over Belmont by 60+
Inverleigh by 40 over North
Bannockburn by 10 points over the Devils
Winchelsea to beat west by 5 points.

How many can big Jovanovic snag against Belmont this time?
 
Great win by corio against banno on the weekend. What is going on out banno way?
I most say at the 1/2 way mark its great that the 5th spot is still up for grabs in past years the top five is settled by now. Other then east and bph its a very even comp.
Would love to see blue west get a few wins by season ends

Can anyone confirm a large number of GDFL interleague boys out til 4am friday night in Mount Gambier before interleague ably led by the coach. A number of people around the league very dirty with a possible league investigation pending????

North Geelong are a bunch of hacks who tend too bend the umpires overr in the rooms before the game, love the big blue vein..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! fairly sure corio were robbed, never seen so many pathetic decisions, Worst game of umpiring iv ever seen,

QUALITY Post very colourfull I was also there dont follow either club but the umpires were very ordinary in the last quarter must have had money on nth geelong to win :eek::eek::footy: A very good game to watch though
 
East v Bellpost should be a good game. I dont follow GDFL that closely but 2 undefeated teams with good spread of talent shapes to be a close match. Any thoughts on who will win and why?
 
Good call God', match of the year. We have have centrals play both of these teams. Hard to pick a favorite. Bell post have medals around their neck so I'd go them slightly on that basis. I follow a few leagues my mates play in these days and this is by far the strongest at the pointy end of the ladder than those. Would love to get out and watch this one. With bellpost, probably a side that has been together a bit longer and have a real proven list. East on the other hand although sitting on top , I think, I feel they are the hunter. Adam went out in preseason and topped up a list that apart from a poor start in last years preliminary was a team that should have challenged on the last day. Murphy and Brett Connors are huge pick ups. Frees up players like Skrobalak and Ohara to play other roles and takes the load away from Closter. Bellpost by 12 points for mine. Good luck to all teams though. Great day for it
 
Huge, huge win for BPH on the weekend! Couldn't believe the margin was that big. Did East play badly?
 
I hear Anakie are up to there old thug ways, even a player reported for punching a bannockburn player in the family jewels??? Really sums up how low they are out there

Football Geelong has a list of reports and tribunal results on its website but I couldn't find GDFL equivalent. Are they listed somewhere?

I saw the incident. Yes, an anakie player did retaliate by punching a player in the "family jewels", but this was only after he was put down by a bannockburn player behind the play.

Anakie are sitting in the 5 and the 2's are undefeated so its definately not the same old at Anakie.

....maybe if they win the flag, they could finally employ a groundskeeper.

worst surface in victoria. whoever is managing that place must be earning some cash on the side by having elephants graze there mon-fri.

You whingeing sook. Nothing to do with Corio's effort of course. Always someone else's fault. I suppose it was someone else's fault for the Belmont Lions loss also.

Great post.

Dont know about a flag but it looks as though they will finally crack a finals appearance. Currently 2 games and a massive percentage in front of 6th placed Thompson with a pretty good run home it would take a massive stumble to miss out now. Looking at the draw they only face 2 other current top five teams (East and Anakie) and therefore should notch at least 4 out of 6 wins.
 
...oh, and i just heard the National 4X4 off road championships are being held at inverleighs ground this year.

it all makes sense now.

Yes i agree the surface is a joke the worst i have seen.

I went and had a look at winch v banno like i did in rd 1
Winch set the game up in the first half but they are not a happy team in banno. Why is woods in the 2's?
Winch new social rooms/gym is massive it will be one of the best set ups in victoria. It must have been a tuff year of the field with no social rooms abit of short term pain for long term gain. Lets hope this new set up can attract a good coach and new players it would be great for the comp to see the bootom teams rise up the ladder like anakie and inver.
I would also love to see blue west get up this week against the lions (could be there only chance for a win this year)

I think alot of people not happy at banno about time for an outside coach they still have a lot of talant but lost faith in the coaching system in place out there

It is good to see Belmont are on the rise they playing some great footy with a very young side with some great juniors playing in the ones as well :D. It should be a great game between them and Winch this week even though both sides wont play finals it should be a cracking match that goes down to the wire.
