The Handbaggers have made a massive loss as they pay to upgrade a stadium their notoriously-fairweather fans will have scant chance of filling.

The city of Geelong is fast becoming a ghost town with no jobs to be found. Yet the Handbaggers have poured everything they made from their most-successful ever era into upgrading KardiniaPark. If only the Pyramid Building Society were still around they'd have a more sensible place to invest.

So now everything is being staked on Dangerfield to bring the crowds back, otherwise the club will be forced to go cap in hand to the banks to beg them to write off its' debts..... again.

Worse still is knowing Victorian clubs like Hawthorn & Collingwood will be the ones who'll end up footing the bill to bail them out in 5-10 years.
