You are blind drunk and flake it, someone tries to wake you and you're dead to the world. A risk-averse business calls an ambulance to get him off the premises and make him someone else's problem. He arrives at hospital, wakes up, he goes home and is at training later that day.

I used to do this almost weekly in the 80s and 90s when I was young and playing footy, all except the hospital bit, someone would shove me hard enough to wake me up.
Let me guess, you think that OJ wasn't guilty?

Just saw this on the news, one player has been charged with rape and the other under investigation? Both in the Geelong area, this is not good and very unusual for down there. Nothing was said which AFL club they belong too?

Sounds like the Bruhn news that came out.
The story states the player was charged earlier this month, I'm not saying it wasn't Bruhn... But I can't see the Cats playing him in the scratch match last Monday if that was the case.
Who knows though

It may not be. But the facts somewhat line up (two people interviewed per the news which names him and now two charged).

Absolutely, and given that obvious and well publicised previous story that lines up you'd assume if it's not him it will be mentioned pretty swiftly by club and Bruhn..

If it is him then he can pack his bags and FRO as far as I'm concerned

Not commenting on a specific player at all but it is possible the news got leaked because someone was not happy that it appeared things were continuing as normal.

Idk if the club will deny anything, not really their MO but it will be someone not featured at all. I doubt Bruhn would be allowed to play knowing he has been charged.

He was charged a month ago and while I appreciate news outlets can’t report his name, if it is and he’s been playing I’d be pissed if I were the alleged victim or their family.

I'd like to think my club wouldn't play him in that situation but 🤷

Is this the player who has been charged recently for an offence in the Geelong area?

No that's nothing to do with this.

It's probably the matter in which bruhn was interviewed as a witness (and which the media falsely tried to link he was a suspect in which he wasnt).

I'm sure we've been through this in previous cases where the AFL don't have a proper policy in place. Pretty sure it is one thing the NRL do better and they have a threshold where if a player is charged with serious crime X they stand them down until it is sorted.

I think that would be hard here where a suppression order is in place. Would defeat the point.

But agree - the NRL policy is much better for serious offences.

The Herald Sun reports the incident happened in the Geelong area. The Keighton incident from last year happened in Melbourne.
It's been mentioned that Keighton is the only one of Geelong's new draftees to not feature on any social media posts yet though. Seems to indicate something more serious is going on with him.

That's because he's been injured.
