I'd suggest Dangerfield ie a current player under Scott confirming it adds a fair bit of credence to the claim, short of looking at his payslip which we don't have access to. Otherwise we can just file this under Richmond conspiracy theory #163.
  • Geelong can't afford to keep all their coaches
  • Geelong leak word of Scott working for free during COVID
  • Promise to pay him back via Morris Finance sponsorship years later
  • ???
  • Profit
  • Also somehow this is why Richmond are reigning wooden spooners and looking likely to become back-to-back spooners

I haven’t claimed any of those things, so not sure why you bring them up. I just said there is no proof that Chris Scott gave up any salary. And there isn’t. Dangerfield’s endorsement doesn’t mean anything either.

I don’t care what Morris Finance are paying him as long as it’s all declared and out in the open. Is that fair enough?

Again with all due respect, that’s not proof that he gave up anything. He ‘pledged’ that he would, but did he actually follow through? You don’t know for certain. You’ve read a couple of articles and because it makes Geelong look good you automatically believe it. And if you take anything the AFL says as gospel, more fool you.
Throw a splash of "CFL" in and you're right on the Tigers moaning conspiracy train.

If Cotton On release a crypto coin then the rest of the league might as well give up.

Rug pulling Geelong fans to pay Jezzas salary

Why are Richmond fans on this site significantly dumber than everyone else? Just post inane crap all over the place.
You never come across these people in person, the sane Tigers faithful must prefer face-to-face interactions.

Nice of the coach to forfeit his salary 👍
Still couldn’t beat the Tigers in a final though 🙂

The 'rivalry' between Geelong and Richmond doesn't exist in real life.
I was quite happy for them in 2017 and so were my other Geelong supporting mates, one who ended up wearing a Richmond scarf that night.

The only rivalries we have are with Hawthorn and Collingwood.

Is there a risk that Geelong could run out of premium farm land to rort with?

We could always just use any of the other 7,000,000 square kilometres that the entirety of Australia has within its borders that all clubs can access and is subject to the same real estate markets as what is within the Geelong LGA, something you seem incapable of grasping.

But why would I want to be gifted a farm in Perth if I play in Geelong? The Geelong rorting propaganda department has sent you some bad talking points old boy.

If I’m a Geelong player I want to be rorted premium Geelong farmland that isn’t too far away from Pork Barrel Park but also not too close to Geelong cbd (for obvious reasons).

you’re not getting it.
It was a reference to the ability that any club has, like yours, for example, to ‘rort the system’ using the real estate market that exists in your own city.

Houses and land and real estate markets exist in places beyond Geelong. Why is it that you think land packages in Geelong are the only ones in the world that have value that can be used to lure a sportsperson to sign a contract 😂😂

John Longmire sold his house at Malabar - through one of Sydney’s major sponsors mind you - for what was something close to $3 million.

Do you think players in the eastern suburbs of Sydney could ever be offered some nice units or townhouses etc worth a little sweetener……

Or is it just Geelong where there’s a real estate market 😂

Because the 17 other clubs believe in the integrity of the salary cap. Geelong sees it as flexible.
