Riewoldt is an emotional man as well. We just missed a Grand Final appearance by a kick in 2004. He is made captain and wants to get back to the main stage and after being the best player on the ground through a quarter and a half against Brisbane in Round 1 2005 he breaks his collar bone. I think the EMOTION of the moment got to him as it did to Mooney.

I can accept that explanation, I think mean Mal Michael bumping him had something to do with it though.

Such as these? You've got one example of an over exuberant young player providing what would've been a fair shepherd (and a damn good one) if Clarke had actually been chasing, the distance was borderline IMO. He even dipped his shoulder so as to not make contact with his head.

It's simple why we lost the game, poor skills. Terrible kicking for goal. You took your opportunties and we did not. The first quarter was a text book example. I think the 7 goal margin flattered you in the end. I think we were good enough to get within 4.

I think the Saints need a back up game plan as well. The 7 goal margin was fair, in the same way that the Saints could've taken their opportunities the Cats could've put the foot down and won by 10. I always look forward to games against the Saints

Well your fellow supporters seem to call Riewoldt a sook for crying after copping a serious injury in his first game as captain. Yet Mooney is not a sook for crying over a lost game???

Unlike Max, Mooney shed a tear in a FINAL when we were leading most of the match, but unfortunately injuries and a brilliant last quarter effort from Nick Davis (have to give credit where it's due) saw us lose on the last kick of the night, and thus ended our season. Compare that to Hudghton who was blubbering like a baby after an early season home and away match, when there was another match the following week that was just as important, ie. both were worth four points.
