You have the two oldest football clubs in the world playing against each other so what have V/Line decided to do ??
Apparantly V/Line employees are not allowed to use the word "bus", they must always say "coach". But this is not your normal buses departing Southern Cross with most going straight over the West Gate towards Geelong type of thing, it is only a "part" replacement. You will be required to catch a train from Southern Cross to Wyndham Vale, where you will then be required to change to a "coach" towards Geelong. The stupidity of this is that the only way a bus can get from Wyndham Vale station to the Geelong Freeway, they have to go backwards towards Werribee before they can then head towards the freeway.
I think V/Line tried this sought of thing for a Geelong/Melbourne game a couple of years ago. The day before the game V/Line suddenly decided they could get a couple of trains through the works so they could get people to the footy.
Maybe V/Line might need a few emails to encourage them to do the same thing. I hope some sanity can prevail.
Looking forward to seeing you at the game and hope you enjoy the increased capacity stadium for the first time.
