GEFLE – ANORTHOSIS
Gefle usually plays defensively but today they'll have to go for big victory and I think that role won’t be a problem for them although they are not used to it. In last 11 home matches they failed to score only once, in the attacking part they have very fast players like Dahlberg and Orlov who I believe will make a lot of problems to Anorthosis’ defense line consisted of veterans (Pavicevic, Galamaz, Jorge – all over 32 years). Besides that Anorthosis can’t rely on very important defender Andic who is injured.
On the other hand Anorthosis coach stated that they don’t even think about defending the score from the first game (3:0) but instead their goal is to score at least one. I believe we’ll be watching very open game with a lot of chances on both sides. Also Gefle will be missing three standard defenders Wikstrom, Fallman and Bernhardsson (instead inexperienced Pekezela and Olsson will go from the beginning) which I believe will leave gaps in their defense and allow more space for the Cyprians.
Gefle’s last 5 matches went over 2 goals, and Anorthosis’ 4 out of last five.
