That is so soft...tribunal is losing the plot again after a promising start..

Even tho that was probably as hard as Gehrig can hit it was nothing more than a mossie bite....pathetic call from tribunal

I don't know if I can be bothered watching AFL anymore. Surely the punishment must fit the crime. 2 weeks for something that Cloke didn't even feel....unbelievable. Gehrig is the best boxer in our side (only guy to go more than 2 rounds against Barry Hall when he was at the Saints). If he'd really thrown a punch Cloke would have been floored.
Theres more body contact these days in Synchronised Swimming than AFL.

Absolute disdgrace... this game has turned to netball. What damage was done he hardly touched him?? is this for real????? DISGRACE!

Hammil is fine and playing BTW.

Very soft IMO. Was looking forward to him heading back to Subi in round 8 and seeing how he'd play. Wasn't much in it from what I could see.

Voss's hit on Judd seemed to have more behind it than that soft as butter effort.

It obviously hurt. Cloke was initially distressed, and then reacted with a mini head-butt. The Voss one was accurately described by Mark Harvey as a 'fairy-tap' and Judd's reaction indicated that he didn't even feel it. You couldn't say that about Cloke. It looked like a hard punch.

And of course if Gehrig doesn't throw the punch he doesn't get penalised.

Shiiiiiit thats soft, 2 weeks, you're kidding. Must have had a lot of points hanging over his head. Was it any worse then Camporeale's? Didn't he only get 1?
2 weeks for that = Shame on you AFL

ps. If we were playing StKilda in the next two weeks it would be fair enough. ;)

Folks, this game is gawn!!!! I'm giving up on the sport soon. The Fraser report is ABSURD!!!!
For crying out loud, it was barely a love tap!!! Phatside, I agree that Campo's was just as pathetic but this is almost the icing on the cake for AFL. If Demetrispew thinks santising this game to a level that is comparable with netball is good for the game he has rocks in his head. Why do they have to f.@ck the game up!!!! :(

I am glad the aints are fighting this. This might well be a landmark case. Something needs to give here or i'll start attending Storm games to see a man's sport, not a sport for pussy's. I hate the aints, but this report has made me angry. If Campo's punch on Walsh happened now I am sure the club would fight it. I think because the system was new they decided to accept the suspension.

One of the most pathetic decisions ever. Matty Lloyd has been doing these little gut punches over a few years and has never been rubbed out for 2 weeks (nor should have he) Very weak decision by the committee.

Why are the Fockers so upset over this? Is it because it was a weak decision or because Fraser "might" miss against the Eagles? You've had your say, get over it.

I'm sure they weren't upset when Riewoldt got injured either.

I for one would like to see the Saints play a Full Eagles side.
It's what we all pay for through memberships and gate fees. Fraser was my fav player at the Eagles before he left, and would love to see him play live again, as i would Riewoldt. Who wouldn't?

Spot on!!

I am really looking forward to the next two weeks, should give us a fair indication of where all the "top" teams actually sit.

I have my flights and match tickets booked for the weagles game and can't wait, could be one of the games of the season. Just think of the midfield matchups!!

Given clear footage existed of both, the only possible conclusion that can be drawn is that the reason Gehrig is being cited and Voss isn't, is because one is a multiple brownlow medallist and supposed ornament of the game who would never do anything unsporting, the other is supposedly a thug. That's patently unjust.
Don't forget that one has punched out an umpire.

WTF???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Back in about 98, Frase decked an ump at quarter time, it was an accident, generally very Frase.

Umpy got between Frase and someone he was having a bit of argy-bargy with, Frase ends up whacking the ump. Umpire takes no further action as he believed it was an accident and partly his fault for getting in too close to the conflict.

Frase probably dodged a bullet that time.
