An umpire not umpiring correctly is why we aren’t in top 4 right now. The last goal
a game was kicked when there was meant to be no game left. I would argue that an umpire not only affected/influenced the result but potentially a whole season. And before the ‘we let the lead slip and all these other things blah blah blah’ comes in, yes, we gave up most of the lead but we also held the lead for what should have been the remainder of game time.

Umpires influence results, there is absolutely no way anyone can logically say anything different.

Actually it's interesting to ponder the reasons behind how Esava and McKay got such massive $$$$ contracts trade season.

I always maintained that they are just average footballers, pretty much the player you would pay $400 - $550k a year. And their performances this year make even my assumptions look overly generous!

And yet they walked away from the trade period with double that amount and I can't help but put that down to their agents marketing them smartly and playing the clubs off against each other.

So main takeaway is if you are an bog standard average AFL player coming out of contract get a good agent and market the absolute c..p out of yourself and walk away with a big old pile of

Esava struggled even when he was at the Cats and they are a very strong system side. Not many players leave the Cats and suddenly turn good (as we have found with Stephens unfortunately).

McKay to my eyes just looks like he lacks the basic skills and awareness of an AFL level footballer. He's big and somewhat athletic but there are plenty of those types in the VFL.

Mass is an absolute gun, his career will put both of theirs to shame before he is done (in fact he probably already has).

No. I don't think Sam after that game said fellas look it was just the umpires that cost us the game we will get em next time. I think that game had a big influence on our entire season because we took ownership for the loss and got better because of it. Umpires don't Influence games.

Logically u have a 120 minutes to win it u made too many mistakes as players and fluffed the game

I just watched the last two minutes of the Saint-Blues.

Not that its a surprise, but BT is such a ****ing moron.

After the Saints goal went through, he started bellowing "Carlton are out! Carlton are OUT ON THE LIVE LADDER!!"

Something every football fan who had spent more than a second analysing the permutations knew was complete crap.
