Grant Birchall must have been on the biggest in-season bender ever
I’d imagine rather than it being the long drawn out injuries it would be the short one week injuries where the player pulls out of a game late then is all good to go the next week.Have we not considerd that this behavious has been going on previously.
What was everyone suggesting when Clayton Oliver had a hammy that just wouldn't repair?
There was talk of Buddy back in the day when he too had a hammy that went on for weeks more than anticipated?
Hahahahah Prestia and Hannebery explain themselves now
It took the bridge tragedy in the US off the front page of the Hun. Dees cheating alleged again
We know where the Hun’s priorities are.
Every single player with an extended and persistent injury is a drug user now, a potential addict. Young guys. Our guys. It doesn't matter. Will Day's foot? Real or pretend?
The AFL management is pure poison. The whole AFL commission system really needs a reformation.
Real injuries are not the issue - when the guy shows up on crutches or in a moon boot.
It is the 1 to 3 week “niggles” that warrant scrutiny because that is how long the drugs stay in the body.
Could be both. Takes a while to get it out of the system if you keep taking it.I’d imagine rather than it being the long drawn out injuries it would be the short one week injuries where the player pulls out of a game late then is all good to go the next week.
It doesn’t take long to get out of the system.
You're right. It's always about money.I sometimes wonder whether I am more cynical now just because I'm old. But I suspect the years of witnessing self interest and double standards from our leaders in sport, business, politics, religion etc, means I just don't trust them any more.
The AFL has no commitment to WADA. Their signing up with WADA is all about optics and government funding. They then do everyting in their power to get around the system. Just like Vlad giving a heads up to the scum, this is about the AFL protecting their brand.
I don't for a minute think they are interested in the player's welfare.
This will end up being swept under the rug again and the AFL executives will pat themselves on the back and give themselves a nice bonus.

This just in AFL has doubled down on criminal behaviour and don’t give two shitsThe AFL has just admitted it empowers club doctors to remove players from matches if they are at risk of testing positive for illicit drugs on match day, after Melbourne were accused of conducting off-the-books drug tests on their players.
