Melbourne are a basket case off the field, and this is the result.

We often talk about the importance of having stability throughout the club, and can’t help but feel this is a great example of why it is important.

Melbourne have gone from a premiership team to a heartless rabble.
That post was a week ago & they've somehow got worse in that time, on & off field.

They're a rabble. Not that they've got sh1t players like say Eagles, but because they've got some very good players playing sh1t footy.

Melbourne were horrid but like Adelaide the Suns are looking potent early. They do have a habit of starting strong before fading though.

Unfortunately, I feel like we are going to get smacked by them off a 5 day break in Darwin. Just one of those grounds and one of those games.

That Darwin ground was an utter swamp last year.

Remember watching the Cats getting pole axed by Suns up there last year, and rightly, Chris Scott just wrote it off to basically “Darwin is a free win for Gold Coast, what do you expect”

I hold next to zero hope we win that match. Just hope we come out with zero injuries.

Re Suns - they look good so far, but they haven’t really faced any real test. Melbourne look awful this year.

I've watched every minute of footy from last night and today - and it's clear we are one of the better teams going around.

You can see the other teams 'trying' to do what we do with set plays, or quick overlap rebound goals, etc. I mean, it's early in the season and we might drop back a bit but at the moment we are looking much better than most.

Suns have as balanced and even a side as any club in the league imo. No real weaknesses. The only thing standing in their way is themselves.

KPF* & KPD don't match their smalls or midfield IMO.

*King obviously very good

Undrrrating Collins, Andrew and Ballard here tbh. Very good talls. Walter and Read very promising up forward too.

Promising - sure. Probs be real good in 2-4yrs. But not nearly as accomplished as their midfield currently is, which is my point.

Could say much the same stuff about us. King is in his prime, the others just need to play bit roles.

When fit, our Backline & Forwardline are stacked with KPP.

To the extent that Mitch Lewis isn't even Best 22 :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy:

Anyway, the original point was that they're well balanced with no real weaknesses. I reckon their KPP aren't as good as their smalls & midfield.
